I am riding a stage race for the first time in December and was wondering if someone could assist me with an eating plan. This as a build up to the four days of racing and also to sustain myself over the four days of racing. What suggestions does anybody have for me.

i'd guess just what you usually do - sensible healthy stuff, e.g. not macdonalds every day and fruits & veggies, a multivitamin and you'll be fine.

 

are you doing the preride to go check out the trails?

Cat-i are you going to the pre-ride? We will be there for our 4th time but not riding the race this year for the first time in 5 years :(

Cat-i - See you there in my vintage jersey :) - yip we have done it 5 times and got our jerseys last year after the event!

Bad news: go to www.paceandpower.co.za they have some nice eating plans and nutritional advice. Your top priority will be to eat healthy now and then over the race days ensure you are getting a good ride drink and recovery drink into your system.
