What did you peeps think about the race? I thought the marshalling was excellent! thanks to all the metro cops that helped.

 

I saw rider went down on the bike just past the high speed downhill on the way out. There was another accident about 2km on where I saw a rider whose bike broke at the fork. Must have been a nasty accident. Anyone know if there are OK?

 

Only bad thing was the wind. Other than that I really enjoyed my second sprint triathlon. It was great running the last km in the rain.

Missed the miserable weather tri, every year the weather is cr*p at Germiston. Will try and do Vanderbijl.

Energade series is so short, what suffering? Ya, I guess one suffer at those, its not a "relaxing long day like IM", everyone flys past you and you have to get on, so the heart rate goes 180+...

much to many people, the swim was bedlam, the organisers need to appreciate that and have start groups!

Me to. I went down there at 73km/h on my MTB and crawled up at 12. These races are not made for nobbly tyres

I really enjoyed it but the wind played havoc on the cycle leg. Fortunately I had finished by the time the heavens opened up.

 

I hope the rider who was hit by the car makes a full recovery.
