Stolen Mountain Bikes

Hi All

 

Recently had the misfortune of mine and my wifes mountain bikes stolen out of our garage.

 

Hers is a white GT Zaskar women's specific design.

 

Mine is a red/silver Wheeler Falcon 20 dual suspension bike. There is a Cape Epic Amabubesi sticker on the downtube.

 

If you see it, please give the person riding it a clout against the ear for me, else contact me on 082 498 8262 so that I can do it in person.

Not many mountain bikes around with Amabubesi stickers. If I catch the guy can I klap him and then phone you then you can klap him some more?

Sorry to hear. I think that we should be bolting/chaining our bikes up in the garage as well. I know its a pain in the arse but in the long run would help or at least slow these bastards down,

maybe setup with an electric current just for some added security

My friend had two mtbs stolen from his garage in Rondebosch, CT last week. Despite there being an assortment of other valuable goodies in the garage, they only took the bikes!

I hate hearing stories like these. I think we need to realise that bikes really are getting targeted and beef up our bike security.

 

I have a rottweiler and two mallinois (belgian shepherds) guarding my bike each night

The thing is, a couple drugged steaks and those dogs are out cold. Not much help then unfortuantly. We need to start chaining them to walls, to the floor. Then make sure the tools are locked away at the same time

My bikes sleep in the house, my ridgebacks sleep in the house. And you can try and throw food through the window if you really want, they will just ignore it and rip your hand off. they love fresh meat and crunchy bones.

Ek het ook vanoggend amper so verassing gekry, ek raak 5 uur wakker met 'n moerse lawaai. dit klink soos iemand wat die heel tyd op 'n pyp met 'n hammer of iets kap. Net voor ek by my woonstel (wat in 'n redelike veilige plek in Stellenbosch is) uitstap hoor ek net my buurvrou se, "wat maak jy?" Ek ruk die deur oop en hier probeer 'n ou my fiets se slot af kap met . . . . wag vir dit, 'n BAKSTEEN. Ongelukkig vir my en gelukkig vir hom was hy al so paar tree voor ek by hom kon uitkom. Nou sit ek met 'n moertoe slot en 'n fiets wat ek nie kan los kry nie. As hy net geweet het dat kombinasie met net een syfer uit was . . .
