Cycle safe signs in Pta

Need to finalise placing of the 8 signs for Pta/Centurion for ShaunH

 

My suggestions:

 

Botha Ave : Just past Fountains entrance direction Kloofsig

Botha Ave : Just past Cantonments direction Fountains

 

Eufees : After Ben Schoeman onramp : direction Yskor

Eufees : at Old Jhb direction fountains

 

R21 at Fountains - direction Klapperkop

Nellmapius rd (Irene) at Intersection Old Irene Main rd, direction Cornwall Hill

Nellmapius at Boeing rd intersection - direction Irene

 

One up for grabs

No......!!!!!!!! Wolverine you just looked after yourself south of Pretoria. There ARE cyclist to the north of Pretoria as well. I have previously asked it when this topic was raised. What about the old BMW race route ?????? What about the Moloto Rodeplaat dam Aventura route...... NUMEROUS cylists use these routes as well and now ALL the signs are going to the south of Pretoria.....WHY?????????

 

I will be sponsoring a sign in the sjarqie BULLS initiative now ongoing on the proviso it goes up on the Moloto Route. I will pay for the sign NOW on the proviso another sign goes up on that route as well.

I am happy to go with the idea of Moloto and the North

The Botha and Eufees options are imo crucial but more than happy to share the rest with you.

Don't necessarily jump to the conclusion that I am looking after myself and my mates in the south as this is far from the case

If you then add your sign for the team you support and mine for the SHARKS we are talking 10 in Pta which, while not ideal is a start we can build on.

Agree Hans Strydom in general needs all the signs it can get, but we need to start somewhere, as you can imagine this is not a one day game, ask ShaunH; he has been campaigning for years, one day at a time and we will get there.

Thank goodness.... no camera should ever suffer that type of torture!!!!!! Do you know the routes????? I think one sign just past the Moloto crossing going towards Moloto and another on the Moloto road going towards Pretoria just past the turnoff towards Aventure.

 i want my shark / bullitjie sign to go up at the following co ordinates

 

32 57'13.11" S  17 57'52.33" E

 

I cycle past that spot twice every time i ride and about 15 other guys do the same.

 

I am going to contact some of the local transporters ( one guy is a Blue Bull Supporter) to perhaps help support the effort here on the west coast.
