its 90% rider 10% tire.

even if you use small block 8's, technically, if your nose is not right up there stuck in the front riders crack, it wouldnt really matter....

if you gonna fall, its gonna happen, even if you have cat claws on the front.

so quit messing around with tire changes, ride the bike more, get to know just how far you can push your luck..

and you'll be faster and safer than the dude that just forked out a huge amount of cash on 2 tires he read about on this forum..

Mountain Kings don't shred mud, and that sticky stuff in Lourensford will make them like mud magnets. Not sure how well Race Kings do in mud, but I reckon they should be perfect for W2W.

Hi there, I am currently riding two Race Kings on my MTB and was wondering if i should put my Sani2C Mountain Kings back on for the Wines2Whales race ?

Race Kings should be fine if it stays dry. Last year it rained heavily in the week preceding the race and Lourensford was muddy. If the same thing happens this year you should change those Race Kings to something with more knobblies.

Potentially rough trails on the race? Look rather at volume. Its standard cape town riding - if its dry, its quick fast rolling treads. Ifs raining, something that sheds...simple neh?
