Local beer haven't tried, but then if it doesn't have any mention of Reinheits Gebot I don't drink it. Apparently, it's not good. Luckily for yuppy scum westerner me, they have imported beer from Germany.

True I could have bought a kona, but I've never ridden one, as opposed to the titus. And I know the Titus is awesome to ride, cause I got to test ride both a racer-x and motolite. The titus was always the goal, and when I saw it on special I bought it on impulse.

I tried several stores out here, but didn't find anything that really caught the eye. Of course, the day after I bought the frame I found the cannondale store and they had some of the top end stuff. Most stores seem to have the entry level stuff. Even though I'm no racer or phenom of the riding circuit I know the difference the good stuff makes when the conditions are less than ideal.

So, now that I had a fun and entertaining visit to the customs ministry. Matters stand as such: I have given the documents to a broker, who will perform the necessary bits and pieces. You would think that a customs broker is a luxury for those who import on a regular basis, but no. It is in fact, a requirement here. You MUST have a broker.

Here now follows some very nervous hours whilst I wait for them to call me and tell me how much I must pay.

Oh, and the government is cracking down on the corruption within all areas....

Life becomes more interesting every day

so as most of you probably thought, I am still waiting.

The latest is that the broker is waiting on another broker who is waiting for something......

At least I'm not in a rush.

So.....

I have now paid $400 for the broker to sort out everything.  Apparently, they will deliver some time today....

I'm not sure whether I should feel relief or elation....

Love for crumbling lace I can understand.

Love for crumbling and cracking leather I can understand.

Heck, I can even understand love for crumbling rubber.

(all of them leaves more skin exposed)

but why anyone would love crumbling grey cement is beyond meWink
