jayz Posted November 13, 2010 Share Ok, so I need a new saddle. I fly a carbon hard tail. My bike's got a aggressive setup. Looking for a race saddle, but with the HT I need some comfort too. Where to find the balance? Want to hear from you guys out there; Your current saddle brand/model - happy or not? If you had to buy a new saddle today what would you buy brand / model, why? Looking forward to your advice / replies. Selle Italia are lighter rand for rand. I rode the xc for a year and it was gr8t.Also is less than 1k at crc. The FIZZ and Spez sadles are also nice but tend to be heavier if you racing an aggresive H/T and wanting to save grams then SELLE is the ONE. sputnik-f1 Posted November 16, 2010 Share Mmm, saddles, not an easy one.I have tried SDG Bel Air, Gobi, Selle Italia Flite Genuine gel (new version) and did not like em.WTB came close to making me happy ( Rocket V and Silverado )Got a Spesh Toupe on my road bike and I like it, so I bought a Spesh Phenom 143 for XC duties. Will report back late Thursday- putting it on my road bike to test it on a 100km ride.
Guest Big H Posted November 16, 2010 Share Saddles are a personal issue. I use Selle Italia...... Same saddle on our MTB Tandem.... Both road Tandems as well as my spinning bicycle. Saddles are not discipline specific. Get the best one for your own @ss. I must also say that when we did a lot of spinning in a studio and my bottom became cycling hard ....I could sit my hour session on any saddle.
