Yeah Ive stopped kidding myself, when there is an event like this I dont plan to race the next day, did it in the past and was stupid.

Now we'll chill the next day and go have some fun on the road race on the Sunday.

I have seen my brother go direct from a joll to to a 42.2km marathon, as in running. Not sure how he managed that

What style cleats do you have?

same than MTB except they're not flat. don't know what they're called - spd?

edit: the pedals will be somewhere - i must just go find them & put them on! and preferably maybe ride the bike for a km or so just to see if the parts aren't rusted :D

Ok, I have some "Look" style pedals and Time pedals laying around somewhere if you need to borrow them.

This year I'm doing the semi double double - mtb once and road race twice - I've arranged a company to sponsor me R5/km for the month of Movember and want to maximise the donation!

Yep, my double header is also the road race twice, the second time as part training for the 320Km on 6 Dec, a charity ride
