Took a ride at my neighbours farm this afternoon (Warthogs, great place for some peaceful riding). Did about 15km with the single speed. What fun! No clanging chain when bouncing over rocks, no thumbing around looking for the right gear! Was a bit heavy on the legs but thats OK, will get used to that. Am even thinking about replacing my fork on my GT with a carbon fibre one or something, its amazing how much more power you seem to have with the rigid single speed. Money well spent for once!
