This might go back down. I believe part of the reason for the increase was that CSA was planning to charge clubs a registration fee. This idea has now been scrapped.

I will happily pay R50 membership fees to ROAG, if that means keeping them afloat!

Awesome service considering they have been delivering it for free! The races they are involved with are always excellently run.

Online registration an membership makes it so easy, they have my support!

If it was related to the cost of living, you're being ripped off. CPI is around 7%. R0 to R50 is

an infinite percent increase!!! In fact, so is increasing to 5c...

It is not related to cost of living.

What are you on about? You are paying R450, Gumpole is paying R700 and you think ROAG is ripping us off with a R50 membership fee?

Their membership has been free, zero, nothing for the last couple of years.

The last 2 years cost me R0 - allowed me to be affiliated and get a racing license.

The last 2 years cost you R900

ROAG wants to put a small membership fee in place to cover the CSA affiliation fee.

If I paid them R50 per year for the next 18 years, I would have paid what you paid in 2, oh but you are going to pay R450 again soon for next year!

So who is being ripped off?

You are, if the reason for the R50 is only to pay the CSA club registration fee. CSA has scrapped this fee.

Well what ever their reason is for R50, I will still pay it with a smile.

R50 compared to R250/R300/R400 or even R600 is a no brainer!

It depends on what you want from a club. I get far more than R400 worth of value out of my subs and so I'm happy to pay them. Others, such as you, don't value the club benefits, so it's not worth it. It's hardly a simple no brainer, though.

Ok, for myself at least... it is a no brainer.

I dont need all that other crap, I simply need to be affiliated to a club in order to get a CSA racing license, that's all.

There is not another more convenient or cheaper way than ROAG.
