I've been having this problem since around lunchtime yesterday:

Whenever I click on a topic to read it, it is not marked as read in the forum list or in the Active Topics list. If I tell it to go to the first unread post in a topic, it takes me to the first post.

If I use the 'Mark this forum as read' or the 'Mark all as read' buttons then it does mark them as read.

The problem occurs in both Firefox and IE and I have tried clearing the cookies in both to no avail.

I had problems accessing the Hub for about 30min or so yesterday (the site seemed to be down) and I have been having the problem since then.

Any ideas what might be causing it?

Hi Edman,

We had a bit of a slowdown at lunch time yesterday and disabled some database topic marking options. It should have still worked via cookies, but we have enabled the DB option again.

Please let me know if this helps.

Regards

Matt

That seems to have done the trick. It's now working, thanks.

Just use Chrome and your cookie troubles will be a thing of the past

Be that as it may, I am on the shiny, silvery browser and (until Admin waved the magic Admin wand) I was having the same prob that Edman reported.
