I can agree with everyone, this was a great day of fun. First time I've ever rode in mud, absolutely loved it. Will definitely be back next year and hoping that it rains again.

It would of course be possible that Jaco did 9 laps of which the last may not have counted depending on when it was started and ended but ja just a thought. BigBen2007-10-08 03:21:23

Jaco and Christoff where in front of me. I stopped at 5 hours on the dot with 7 laps. Since the laps where taking me then 45 min to do, and knowing I couldn't do another lap in 30 min I said enoughs enough. Christoff and Jaco went on for another lap.

The organisers also announced at the end that Christoff had done 8 laps.

But who cares 8 nine or 10 laps it was great fun.

Spent an hour on Saturday afternoon washing all the goodies we had used / carried (bombs, unused gels, multi tools, sunglasses, helmets, camelback etc.) to get most of the mud out. Then spent another 2 hours yesterday afternoon washing the bikes properly (not just that quick squirt and go at the venue, that did help of course!), lubing, checking etc. Replaced Byron's brake pads and fitted new lock on grips, he likes the foam ones but they look tatty very quickly!

My lovely wife (good words to use at a time when you come in carrying a ton of mud in your clothing bag!) managed to wash everything and even Byron's white Flatdogs shirt is snow white again!
