payed a visit to the bryanston bike park this morning. After not being there for almost a year I was quite impressed with the amount of new trails and quality. Some seriously technical stuff. Was a rocking ride!!!

At R50 a pop its not somewhere I'd go often, but definitely worthwhile every now and then to hone your skills me thinks!!

Zombie is just awesome. Check it out in the most recent edition of TREAD. The Bike Park is so convenient for Northern suburbs peeps. Is that wicount multi-entry card discount offer still going?

TW, I don't think ZBH is XC friendly. I will not try it without flat pedals and rear suspension.

I've only ridden it on a hard tail and with cleats. The gaps aren't that hectic. You don't even need to launch them to get over them. The only really challenging bit is keeping the traction on the rear wheel going up.

Think I need to visit there on Monday! Havent been there in a year and then already it was greatly improved. Thanks for the feedback!

Just be careful in some places. When Dassie and I were there last weekend, after the rains, some bridges had been damaged.

The bridges seemed to be fixed!

But yes, it is a good idea to take some of the black trails easy the first time anyhow, cause there are some surprizes around corners, gap jumps etc. where you can get hurt real bad!

Ah, cool. Must say the kid in the clubhouse reacted straight away when Dassie told him, and went to check them out on a quad. The bad ones were the long one just after sidewinder on the perimeter and the longer one on Canyon.

I love that place, I go ride there at least once each time I visit my parents in Pretoria. This time I brought my rigid single speed along so I will give ZBH a skip when I go there next week. I think the ultimate bike for that place must be an On-One 456 with an adjustable travel 100-140 fork, and an all mountain wheelset(ztr flow).

Rode ZBH last weekend on my AM bike. Was AWESOME!!!

haha! I second that... I ride it on my FR bike... and sure it takes some effort to lug that thing up to the top... but the top section is awesome!

here's a pic from Zombie (please excuse the full face helmet... Tumbleweed said I have to wear it to hide my face... that and cos I was on the dirt jump track quite a bit that day)
