so was stuck in nelspruit when the 32GI got finished... now I must say that I got pretty bored with how 32GI fixes babbelaas and gives you endurance for infinity and all that BUT I like that it does not taste funny, accumulate spit nor is it too sweet. Any case, so off I go to the pharmacy to buy some more, and unfortunately they don’t stock 32GI, no problem, gym gorilla tunes me about pvm and how awesome it is etc. Tried it out and there is a couple of things that is just not on.

1- Stained my camel back. (ps: would anyone know how to remove drink type stains on the inside?)

2- It is sweet, taste like casting sugar mixed with game which makes you accumulate saliva

3- Wife forgot the remainder in her camelback overnight, next morning the whole bag was swollen and it looked like it is going to explode!

4- Mix ratio is 5 scoops to 500ml water. So not quite efficient as the 1kg tub won’t last long

All in all just an absolutely K@K product. Went to discem to get some good ol 32GI again but thought I would warn fellow hubbers

What are you warning Everyone from?

1) It stained your camelback-Well stop the war in Iraq we have a bigger problem.

2) You found it to sweet-Yes its a 1kg tub but did you not see the extra sachets in the tub? The large quantity is 1kg, then you get about 7 or 8 sachets that make up a 750ml bottle. Alittle more than 1kg now isnt that? Also they recommend 5 scoops, doesnt mean you have to use 5 scoops. I use less than that and it works fine. Just like when you read the sextips in Menshealth, they recommend stroking upwards, doesnt mean she will like it.

3) You prefer another product- 32GI. To many that is a load of K@K and thats why they use Octane.

4) Your camelback swelled-unscrew the cap in a anti-clockwise direction and the swelling will go away.

I dont see why you would go on and on about it being a K@K product as you say. Many, many athletes use it and think it is an incredible product and swear by it.

Personally I love it and use it often but do you know that if you often leave a product in your camelback closed tightly it will swell often not even in the sun. All ingredients cause this effect in these type of drinks.

I think your post holds no water and is rather pathetic which often sums up the hub unfotunately. Only negativity here and this post is a prime example of that.

I have to agree fully with you boet - many of these posts are pretty childish!

If a product disagrees with you, then you foul mouth it??????

You not happy with your lbs - you foulmouth them...............come on, let's grow up!

Its a personal thing. I use 3 different PVM products and I'm very happy with them. I love moterex lube, others swear by squirt etc.

I have tried 32GI a few times but for me its is too strong (50g sachet in 700ml water) and leaves my mouth feeling dry. I still think its a good product as the science/logic behind it is sound. It just does not suit all palletes(spelling ?) or uses.

Also, if you've become accustomed to a low gi drink then it's kinda obvious a higher gi drink will not work as well for you anymore.

It doesnt not contain preservatives as mentioned, hence swelling/discoloration. Good thing IMO.

Regarding it being less value, they are both priced in the R240 area from what I've seen and both are 1kg tubs.

32GI = 2scoops @ 25g each ~ 50g to 500-750ml. Octane = 5 scoops @10g each = 50g serving to 500ml-600ml. Thus it should work out the same at 50g per bottle.

Looking at the pic, I hope you bought the normal version and not the xtr version, as that is for sports like rugby etc of under 90minutes. Normal octane is an endurance drink for 90min and over.

Something I need to add on the 32Gi a flavourless neutral version has been released if u don't like a sweet taste. Also just on the pricing remember a single serving if 32Gi guarantees at least 2 hours of energy. You should equate servings to how many hours of energy it provides as that gives u a more accurate way to measure, remember hydration and energy provision are separate issues. As some people have said they can get by on less or more how much u dilute any energy drink with is usually a standard but some go with more water and some with less it all depends on the individual ;-).

The whasp hypo tonic energy drink is only R165 for 26 servings..ha haa

Antoo, Bpayne..

I posted it as I was unhappy with a product, now I am not super knowledgeable on all things cycling.. someone corrected me about the swelling and I got a tip to get rid of the stain in the camelback. Also, some people said they like pvm.. cool..lekker, we all have different views. I do support a decent discussion, not flaming away with stopping war in iraq and everyone should just like every thing. how else should we learn or expand our views?

secondly, your post refers to my post being negative and childish yet your own post is over exaggerated, sarcastic and your refernce to sex is just plain childish.

bottom line: if you don't like it, don't read it. hit the foe button.

I have used the product for years and it is great. There was an increase in the price a year or two ago but I queried it with the suppliers, they said it was because they had added a protein supplement to their formula. If you compare this to many other brands very little have this protein in their endurance drinks. It is suppose to aid muscle recovery.

I also recommend you use 5 scoops to 750ml, their recommendation is very sweet.

I am looking to try a new riding juice (as my son calls it).

USN Cytopower HP has too much caffeine, so I just end up with an elevated heart rate. The non HP (?) version is hard to come by.

I tried 32Gi on the weekend and it just seemed to make me thirsty, but I still felt pretty good. I had a coffee towards the end of the ride, so I couldn't really do a direct comparison on how it makes me feel.

I think I will try some PVM Octane and or some Cadence Nutrition. But I dint know which to use: The Classic, Marathon or Revolution.
