There are 2 dual sus bikes I am looking at and they have different rear shocks. I know the Fox 23 is good but I know nothing about these.

The Ghost 7400 has an X-Fusion O2 RL2 rear shock

The Merida 96-3000 has a DT Swiss M210

Which is better?

Anybody have any comments on how well the rear suspension works on either of these 2 bikes?

Probably the Giant Anthem X, because it has the Fox23 shock you know is good?

I see that. It also has nice XT wheels but the price is a bit high. It costs R6K more than the Merida and R8K more than the Ghost. Is the Fox that much better?

Chris I do not know which is better, only know the DT from my Scott and prefer the Fox by far. I sometimes think individual riding style is a big factor not always discussed. Big difference between "Hou vas my bier en check hierdie move" and pushing a bike down hill?

I see ghost has upgraded from the X-Fusion to the Fox 23 on their latest models

the merida is a very harsh ride compred to the ghost more to do with the suspension setup than the shock you would need to ride it a rp23 will still be quite harsh on a merida compared to an anthem or ghost

I am quite keen on the Merida 120-1500 or the 96-3000. I am fairly happy with my hard tail but need want an upgrade. The current bike is an XC bike so I am leaning towards the 96
