Live in jhb ,only shop ive really been to is cajees and was told 2011 scott aspect (h/t) was best for me @ 4.8k.(i can spend up to 6k)Looked online alot but hard to find shops with online catalogues and prices...Im 6.2 feet tall and not shy to do a jump or two so want something strong.Plz if u know of something in same price range which is easily available in jhb plz clue me up!^^ ty 1st post ftw

covie Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Scot's not bad but addmitedly If possible rather look at the 8k mark if you can push it. Make sure the bike comes with at least a deore groupset or better, in sram language that should be X6 X7.Has hydroclic disk brakes.And has a decent shock. Rock Shock Tora or better. (if it does come stock with this try and have them replace before you buy) since that will be the first thing you would look to upgrade. Just my 2 cents. There are a couple of posts this last week asking the same question, have a look for posts with the words beginner and or new you should get some good info. And welcome to the hub, We now ownze all yours bases muahahhahaha.
