Seems like we're getting that at checkpoint no 2

Cool, now all we need is a nice strong wind, from behind.

Good luck with that. Looks like we'll be heading into a strong headwind (35km/h south westerly) from Patensie to Jeffrey's.

35KM's seems to be conservative...more like 35 KNOTS!

Every day the last few days has brought a suprise....too wet...now cold...then route change...now wind...going to be tough...can't wait!

Anyway absolutely nothing you can do about it now except grab the bull by the horns.

So here's the low down

We're riding 5½km's further over a tougher route, with one less pit stop. A predicted day time high of 12°C and a night time of -1°C into 35knot head-wind and a possibility of rain.

If we can get hold of those horns we better hold on tight.

Sounds like fun. The good weather for the past couple of years has made everyone soft. About time we were made to work for the finisher's medal again!

I'm going to chow so many of those checkpoint jaffels, vetkoeks and sosaties en route I don't think I'll have an appetite left for anything but a beer at the end. I'd be lucky not to put on any weight during this ride.

First TB? What a "vuurdoop". Do it again next year so that you've at least done one through the Kloof. It is really awesome!
