SOOOO, I did the upgrade that I have wanted and I could not be happier.

So, thought a little half an hour in this dreadful wind would be nice, just stretch the legs a little..... Well..... hour and half later 51km's in the saddle and I came home with the BIGGEST smile, thought that I might have made a slight little "spot" in my bibs .

How on earth have a ridden for so long without Sram? How could I possibly have missed out on so many km's without Sram?

I didn't even urgrade to the Red, I went to Force ($$$$$$$ lacking a little) and all I could think of whilst riding was...... If this feels sooo good, how on earth can ther even be something better than this? What on earth can they possibly do to make this better????

So, my question is this.... To all the Sram Red riders...... What is it? What does Red have that Force doesn't? I mean, yes, the little bit of weight difference, the ceramic bearings....but what does that equate to really???? Is there a really a marked difference between the Red and the Force.......???

No honestly urbanroyal, I am in a state of utter disbelief. It REALLY is that good. Easy to use, 1 small finger movement and its crisp into the next gear. Quiet!!!!!! I cant believe I waited so long to move, now I just want to get back on my bike and RIDE :D

ummmmm in a totally unbiased way......wait till you try campy !

I looked at it before I settled on the Sram... It is VERY nice and being of Italian Heritage myself, I should have gone to Campy . My only thing with the Campy was the ergonomics of the shifters, really didnt feel good in the hand . Maybe one day  I will give it a try.

campy is noisy - I know. A certain hubber (bikemonster) has a campy groupo and he even jokes that he can never sneak up on you and suck wheel because the gear changing is so noisy.

Hi Scultura, WELL DONE, FORCE rocks , been using force for two years as well, RED is great but not worth the difference in $$$$$. I will never go back to Shamano. As the saying go's SRAM sounds like a train but flies like a plane. ENJOY -R3SL.

I just graduated from Force to Red.

I am not deeply technically competent - can't give you specifics... :)

Losing the lil' extra weight is funky.

And it feels EVEN MORE precise...

YOu kidding me, even more precise? WOW, cause I cant believe how precise the Force Group is. It is an absolute revelation against the likes of Ultegra.

Pic attached, she is looking pretty "spanking"
