If Cannondale's claim is correct ..ie 1150g for a size 56 and stiffer than some of the "elite " carbon frames, then I will go with the CAAD10...thumbup1.gif

What groupset will you be running with it ?

I have neither but I will go with the Dale....

You get reasonable carbon frames at reasonable prices, but the CAAD 10 is regarded as one of the best alu frames around.

With BB30 Sram Force and Mavic Ksyriums, you will have a cracker of a bike - depends on how far you can push your budget.

It would be difficult to say exactly how much better it would be than the Merida or Giant I suggested.

Geometry and setup are important as well. possibly more important than brand (or even colour!)

I hear such good reviews about the CAAD 10 series.

You can get more than entry carbon frames/bikes for the price of a CAAD10. I'm willing to bet that very few people would notice the difference between the two anyway.

I would go carbon for no other reason that it looks cool and carbon frames seem to have real sexy curves.

As for your question - I think my avatar tells you my answer.

But are you set on CAAD10 specifically? Just asking, since I went in asking about CAAD9 frame a couple of years back, this exact time. Got a call back within a couple of mins saying they've got prices - and a CAAD( (at the time) will not be the best option ito value for money. I got a Six13 frame for an insane price compared to the CAAD9 and rather went for that. Not sorry for a moment, best thing I've ever done!

So just ask around for other Cannondale frames' prices as well. Who knows - you may get a nice surprise. I mean, I'm sure I'd still jump at a 9 right now, still better than an entry-level carbon frame (for my use, anyways). And you'll most likely get it at a muuuch better price than the 10.
