Anybody keen on doing the route this Saturday?

I'm not doing the Bouckeart Soenen and will be in Bloemfontein weekend 05/02/2011. Need to get some distance in the legs.

 

Start at Racecourse, ending on Odendaals, about 05h30!?

I am doing the Bouckeart Soenen, would have loved to ride with you but dont think I can do both days.

 

Want to do this before the race though and the following week is the Rollercoaster.

 

Thinking of coming to do the last parts Vissers and Oodendal next week some time one evening.

Spat, be carefull doing Vissershok in afternoons. Road is narrow (no shoulder), quite a lot of traffic and they are impatient (on their way home).

Not wise to ride there in the afternoon. But must admit I do not know how busy it is say, after 18h00 when most people should be at home already.

Not wise to ride there in the afternoon. But must admit I do not know how busy it is say, after 18h00 when most people should be at home already.

I nevva train there unless it is early morning.

The challenge is the narrow road that can barely accomodate passing cars plus fiets.

And, with the gradient and burning quads, holding one's line is tough.

It'll take some early rising though from the Southern suburbs...

How about next weekend? I am not doing the rollercoaster and want to get the whole route recce'd before the race..... although sometimes it is a good idea not to see the route beforehand (them climbs and all)

That road is unsafe at the best of times.

So if you are going to do it make sure that you are rather in a bunch of cyclists so that the car can make a decent roadkill, I mean so that you will be more visible.

I will not go up there alone, even if it is quiet.
