HI-Jack On

I haven't heard the best reviews as to the ride quality.

Beautiful frame but now I'm double guessing myself

I have simply had so many bad experiences at almost all the LBS's in the Southern Peninsula, that I have kitted myself with the tools that I need and get parts from CRC. Whenever I need something specialist done by the LBS I am shocked at the poor service, lack of knowledge and poor workmanship that I recieve. I can recall an expirience at each LBS which turned me off of them for life, from have parts stolen off my bike, to a LBS that forgot to put my Chainset back on.

The LBS's need to learn that it is not only about price, they need to bring themselves up to scratch with good quality service. I am quite willing to pay more to drop my bike off, order the bits I need and have them fitted, but it is simply less painfull going through CRC and doing it myself, At least I know that it has been done right.

@Foe Fighter: It seems to be the norm in any service industry in the Cape. I use to be in IT Retail and your story is so generic that I heard it countless times. What gets me is that techies believe its their right to "upgrade" your parts.

I'm fortunate that in the Helderberg we have awesome mechanics who I personally trust, but I've started to build up my own tool set and except for my new fork, have done everything myself.

I personally prefer supporting local industry and not sending money to the UK, because I want backup and support and want the industry in SA to be healthy.

The joke is that your money is in any case going to the UK, when you purchase local....i.e. you pay R400 for a XT MTB chain....which cost in the UK R195.....the agent pays R195 (which is paid to the UK or whereever) and you pay an extra R205...(VAT and AGENT and LBS profits)!!!

I have just ordered a toolkit from them, no where could i find a similar item on a South African website, I could find individual items but add these together and the combined price is too expensive.I have still to get a response from one website where as i received a response from CRC immediately and notification of my parcel shipping progress the next day.Service delivery is paramount to me and for this I will always buy from them till they prove otherwise.
