Hi Guys. Need the tubby experst advice on this one. I cant seem to pump up my tubbies as the slime is blocking the air from entering. Would it just be easier to remove the tubby and unblock the hole or is there an easier solution? I tried pumping up the wheel with gas hoping that the pressure would force the hole open...no luck.

Some guys will start by saying: Why would you use slime in tubbies?????????!!!!!!!!!!

Can't give you advice on how to fix, but to prevent this from happening, always keep the valve at the top when you inflate. Then the slime will be at the bottom

I agree with B&B, you store the wheels at 3 or 9. But to unblock you can try hot water, it usually desolves the seallant. Im not shure how to get the hot water to the clot, it depends on the type of valve or extension.

You should start with the valve at 6 so that all the slime can run out of the valve first. Then you slowly rotate the wheel and leave it at 9/3 for a few minutes and then then move to 12. I deflated my MTB wheels, yes with tubes, this morning and no sealant came out or blocked the hole.

replace the valve core.

Hundreds!

Your sludge is most likely gone hard inside of the inner tube/valve.

If you can remove the valve, do so and you will need to clear the blockage if it isnt the valve core itself that is blocked.

I stopped using sealent on my road bike in the past when I used to struggle motherless to get them to pump up.

One day I just couldnt get it to inflate at all, it was proper stuck.

Taking the pump hose off the valve I noticed that the whole thing was turning.

As in the whole valve could turn freely in circles.

The bugger had broken off the tube at some stage and the sealent which was blocking it up the whole time sealed the hole 100%

I didnt even loose pressure at the thing was still rock hard, maybe 7 bars.

So to deflate it I needed to puncture my tire a few times to get the air out.
