6 Hour format is Solo  /  Pairs  /  Quads - Mens or Ladies team

Age Categories are:-

Junior:  up to 16 yrs old

Senior / Elite: 17 to 29 years old

Vets: 30+

Based on the average age of all the individual team members.

One rider per team on the course at any time, hand over the baton at the transition area and the team that does the most laps in each category in the six hour are the winners.

Some info on the course

The course is +- 6.3km per lap
Ascent is 105m per lap
The average time around the course is just over 20 mins per lap for 4 consecutive laps - 11 year old experienced rider was lapping around in 23 mins. The racers are doing closer to 17-18 mins.

Some lovely singletrack and some long climbs that are fine if you cruise but become lung busters if you race. Plenty of overtaking space so no bottlenecks etc. There are one or 2 tricky descents but not difficult and for those of you who have ridden at Phambili you will be thrilled to hear that there is no mud due to bridges having been built over this obstacle.

Hope that you can make it and bring your families ? lots of space and a very secure environment

I am going solo...who will be joining?

OK Solo it is then . Can I assume that the feeding zone will be at the start ? I will most probably not have a second and will have to find a place in the zone to hide my smokes and frosties !
