Does anyone know of a decent MTB route in Tulbach that will take a solid 4 hours. A loop as the GF will be sitting by the pool and does not want to be disturbed.

I am up there for a wedding on Sat and need to ride Saturday. I am not wanting to trespass or irritate any of the farmers.

Thanks

The PPA Wolseley loop is about 40 km (2 - 2.5 hours) if you cut out the town section, so you could cycle from Tulbach and do that. That will probably take you up to about 50 -55 km ( 3 -3.5 hours) depending on pace. I am sure you could increase the loop around Tulbach to get it up to 4 hours (around 80 km ), have a look on Google Earth. Just get permit in Wolseley for MTO forests on your way to Tulbach.

There are some great forest roads out here. When I get a little fitter, Ill cycle over from Riebeek west and go explore out there. I know from riding my motorsickle, that there is indeed very nice roads out there.

Your best bet would be to ride most of the Kluitjieskraal forest route (Wolesley race) and surrounding area. You can get a permit in Wolesley on Friday. If you ride from Tulbagh and then ride in and around the forest and then go up the big climb you can do anything from 60-100 km's without seeing another sole. PM me if you want more info.
