  1. So then it is a "hidden feature". Also good to know as this is also the first year I am on it... 😉
  2. Strava is only used for speed data (so no heart rate points). Suunto is steps, speed and heart rate, so you should see points for HR via Suunto. One troubleshooting option is to delink your Suunto account in the Discovery app, and then re-link it. Failing that, log a call with the support team, and they should find where the issue is
  3. As far as I can find - it is only available on the web. You need to re-sign up again each year to keep it active. (https://www.discovery.co.za/vitality/endurance-high-performance-events) In terms of the app picking up events - the app can only pull data directly from the device (Apple, Google or Samsung), the other integrations are on a B2B basis, so I would suggest that you make sure the events are in the respective app (Garmin Connect etc.) and make sure that has sync'd correctly with the device. There are sometimes delays in the B2B integrations (normally listed on the Discovery site when they occur)
  4. Yeah - same here. Worst case you are at least 70% of the way done when the work week starts.
  5. If you sign up for the "high performance/endurance" option, you get points for lower heart-rate activities - but that comes with an automatic bump in target to 1200 points per week, so not ideal for everyone. The big "win" is that if you do a longer activity, you can earn up to 600 points for a single activity.
  6. Does not look like it - do you have any other fitness device you can use while riding? I use my Garmin watch to track heart-rate (which obviously links to Vitality).
  7. Have to agree with all the comments on ERG - essential for structured workouts. I also got a second hand trainer (KICKR 2) - 13k km and still going strong. I would also recommend getting a direct drive trainer over the "wheel on" trainers - unless you like changing tires
  8. https://www.slikgraphics.com/ Used them myself a couple of times. Proper decals!
  9. Looks to be one of these: http://www.xmcarbonspeed.cn/29er-full-suspension-mtb-bicycle-frame-carbon-fiber_p0215.html Although you say it has boost spacing at the rear...
  10. Plus one for the Ratio kit - added it to my gravel bike using an old Eagle X01 derailleur and GX 10-50 cassette. Gives you the same range as an AXS mullet setup at a fraction of the cost.
  11. Had some "custom" chainrings made by @ALiRACINGWORX. The ad listing was for MTB chainrings - but my request was entertained, and now I have 'rings in 42T and 44T. Perfect fit, and run like a dream.
  12. Also went the mechanical XO1 Eagle to GX AXS and also very happy with the system.
  13. All of the AXS derailleurs are all compatible with the 10-52 cassettes. It was a big "selling point" when the 520% cassettes were released that X01, and XX1 AXS was compatible.
  14. Sorry to say, but SRAM MTB 11 speed derailleurs are not compatible with the 11 speed road shifters (x-actuation on MTB vs exact-actuation on road). What you *CAN* mix is the 11 speed road shifters with the 10 speed MTB derailleurs as they do use the same exact-actuation. My suggestion (if you are not wanting to run a road 11 speed derailleur) would be to try and find an XO 10 speed derailleur with a clutch-that will give you the benefit of the chain retention and compatibility with the apex shifters. Hope this helps...
  15. I have purchased through amazon.com - both the original Oakley lenses and 3rd party lenses (for my Jawbreakers). The 3rd party ones have worked a treat, and even though they may not be original, they still look the part (and are a ton less cash). Just make sure that the lenses you choose are available to ship to SA. I am currently waiting on 2 pairs to come in (should be here tomorrow having ordered on Thursday last week).
  16. The screen is the same size for the 520 and 502 plus - the 530 has the bigger screen.
  17. Not sure if everyone knows about this, but there was an incident involving some of the event crew on Saturday - 7 of the Sani crew were killed in a vehicle incident on their way home to Ixopo. https://www.sport24.co.za/OtherSport/Cycling/tragedy-as-accident-claims-lives-of-7-sani2c-staff-20190519?isapp=true A fellow rider has set up a page for donations on backabuddy for the families. https://www.backabuddy.co.za/champion/project/sani2c-2019 If each rider could donate as little as R100 it would make a huge difference to the effected families, so please guys, help where you can.
  18. Looks like the "scar" from the front derailleur clamp - I have the same thing. Also converted to 1x form 2x
  19. Hi I was at Negenya a couple of weeks ago, and I rode to Marloth park. Not very entertaining if you are after single track, but it was something none the less. Here is a link to the route I did (once you are in Marloth park, you can navigate around the roads there to get to your desired distance). Obviously the road from Ngwenya to Marloth is tar - but inside Marloth park is all dirt road. https://www.strava.com/activities/1123293411 Enjoy
