  1. By the way, you will all be pleased to hear that Twitter the company is in serious Shiite. Not hard to see why; ask any Twat what the value of tweeter is and they will likely reel off a list of things, like being informed, being able to hear what celebs think about global warning, and all sorts of other esoteric boloux. Yeah, OK fine (personally I think it is all about ego and who can say the smartest thing in 140 characters [nobody likes a smartarrse, remember!]). Then ask that Twat how much they will pay for the service. That there is the value of Tweeter.
  2. Tried. Wouldn't come out of box. Not sure if alive, dead or both.
  3. Sure, sure. But. Truth exists independent of evidence.
  4. Hell yeah. Fandacious is smelling like roses here. I'm a bit like him with this sort of thing; as I see it, and without speaking for him, I'd say he objects to being sold a bridge and finds it kinda insulting...
  5. That's my old bike, new one coming soon (should be delivered tomorrow)...
  6. That right there is why these ous dope. The power and the glory.
  7. He must ride his bike and enjoy the sensation of getting faster the more he trains.
  8. Oh fully, I mean, why not pull into a room full of people and tell them they are a bunch of idiots who know nothing. I do it all the time, makes me lank popular at parties
  9. Um, let's see, when did the veil drop? Always? I mean, remember that awesome Anquetil quote: 'Do you ever dope, Jacques?' 'Only when necessary.' 'And when is it necessary?' 'Almost always'. Merckx, Kelly, Fignon, they were all at it. Doesn't make it right, though!!
  10. Easy, Lancesball, you find us odious, go hang out someplace else. Don't go thinking YOU are the arbiter of who knows 'what what'. And don't chune what what, bru.
  11. Fascinating subject Odinson; I solely read cyclingnews and velonews for the doping stories. I don't watch those skinny frauds racing the TdF or anything else, it's too 'unreal' for my liking (I also don't like movies which require one to 'will the suspension of disbelief'.
  12. I think these days saddle sores are held in slightly higher regard than Captain America.
  13. Ask Rourke Croeser. EDIT I see that was already pointed out. Kleva, me.
  14. No such thing as an 'ex doper'. Either you're a doper, or you are not a doper. Kla, ekse.
  15. You've nailed it - I find the 'self deception' as fascinating as the deception of others. Makes you wonder about what makes these people (and ones like Garamundage) tick. No consideration or respect for others. Sport is supposed to be about human endeavour, camaraderie, effort, hard work, discipline, commitment, achievement, disappointment, winning, losing*, being fair. At least in my mind, anyway. * To know how to win, you also need to know how to lose.
  16. Absolutely - you have to make time, steal time, find time somewhere to train. And in my case, it means whatever time I get, I just absolutely hammer it on the bike for max effect. Plus it's more fun when you're going fast, anyway.
  17. What I will try to stop is being a dick! It is that which I am sorry 'bout .
  18. OK mate, my apologies, I am sorry I have riled you up, it was not intended.
  19. Am I being argumentative, or are you? Again, all I am doing is noting that your statement that 'it has long been agreed' is logically incorrect. That's it. That is all. And I am doing so in what I thought was good spirit. I'm genuinely sorry if that annoys you. And also sorry that we've drifted rather far from the topic at hand...
  20. No, what I am saying is that consensus DOES NOT and never has equated to truth. At one point, Copernicus was in a lot of trouble for suggesting, against the consensus, that the sun was at the centre of the universe (look, he was still wrong) rather than the earth. People 'agreeing' something is true never, ever makes it true. The scientific method requires curiosity, not consensus. The only thing I am doing, as I am not interested in determining the truth or otherwise of something with so many variables as a rider going up a hill, is pointing out the logical fallacy of 'the science is settled'. Calling it the 'global warming fallacy' was intended as a joke, evidently a pretty poor one!
  21. Bickering over moral issues? Morals make society. That's how important morals are.
  22. It is his 'little world view' and those of thousands of good citizens like him, that make for a healthy society, friend.
  23. Consensus does not equate to truth (global warming fallacy, I think they call it these days).
