  1. Nice doggies. Oh, and some drugs cheat.
  2. Now that's a good idea, she said, she said, she said, now that's a good idea, she said, she said, she said... Remember that old song, by Sugar.
  3. Well, you can now legitimately say, 'hey everyone, Kevin Evans is a doper'. Timing is, as always, everything.
  4. Flip here was me thinking that was a joke...
  5. This is why testing the statement could have proved interesting. However, had I been slapped with a lawyer's letter, which it must be said, is nothing more than a lawyer's letter, I too would have gone, 'ah stuff it' and deleted a few tweets and carried on with my life. Would middle class folk in SA really get a couple hundy thousand rondt together to klap handbags at dawn over something like that? Not a freakin chance, most are too sensible and know better than to engage in something financially draining and which will deliver scant reward beyond a hearty 'I told you so'. The gamble is worth it for the dodgy operator though...it is a game of chicken, if you blink first and fast, guess what, everyone wins. Unless you are DIRECTLY interested in some good old vengeance, it just isn't worth it. You okes who have had divorces should know full well what it means to get The Law involved. Proves PDQ that it is not an ass, it is an EXPENSIVE ass. And nobody likes that kind of ass...
  6. No, untested. On the basis of it not being tested, nobody can make a claim as to the statement's status in law unless it is tested by the law. That it is uncontested means just that it will not be tested and therefore claiming it is lawful or unlawful is entirely mooooooot. Extra Os for you ous.
  7. Us poor schmucks who have been in this sport since we could crawl tend to have a fairly accurate idea of what goes on. And let me tell you something, it is the cynics, the skeptics, that Lance feels sorry for, who just keep getting proved right. So annoying, but there you are.
  8. Actually, whether or not it was lawful unlawful or otherwise (cf Schrodinger's cat) remains untested....
  9. This is a hobby for amusement, not a full time sport. For sport, I ride my bike, for laughs, I watch dopers put in 'pas normal' performances and watch as the crowd goes wild, ever willing to play its part on the charade.
  10. Pics please pics please. Just don't gooi the piepie on anyone like they did in France that one year, apparently that's frowned upon.
  11. Hardly a dig in the dark with all the knowing glances going on, wouldn't you say?
  12. From a purely logical and factual point of view, you're absolutely right. Of course you are. Of course. But there are things you can also apply intuition to, particularly if you know the game and those who play it...
  13. Hardly. But, that said, anyone is welcome to say whatever they like about me on Tweeter or elsewhere. That will make them a douche, not me. People say horrible stuff about me all the time (particularly in the line of work I'm in). Doesn't bother me one bit. Sic semper tyrannis and all that.
  14. They're like batteries, these days...
  15. I had a laugh at that one. 'Never heard of probenecid'. Meanwhile, even a kippie like me knows that Pedro Delgado was busted for probenecid just before winning the tour in '88 after getting off on a technicality (with the UCI that could mean anything from a spot fine, to lunch with the CEO). There's another doper happily ensconced in the sport he loves so much (and which just keeps delivering those juicy paychecks...mm mmmm mmm! So nice!)
  16. When the lawyers get involved, only the lawyers win.
  17. At CES the jolly goshdarned internet fridge made a reappearance, this one has a camera which takes a pic every time its opened or some such, so you always have something on your phone letting you know just how much EPO stash is left after those big weekends...
  18. Where's that human nature in defending ourselves and our honour now that we're an admitted doper? Kinda vanished PDQ when it wasn't some oke who could be bullied into silence with the threat of a lawyer's letter...
  19. It is a wise man who chooses his battles.
  20. Absolutely. And as long as dopers are labelled 'ex dopers' and welcomed back with open arms into teams, like Ian McLeod, Nolan Hoffman, Herman Douche and all the Euro pros you'd care to throw a phial of EPO at, well, then the risk is worth the reward, isn't it.
  21. Once again, if your reputation is good and your conscience is clear, the accuser would look like a tool. If, on the other hand...
  22. Or sneaking off nudgie nudgie winky winky during the Giro del Capo to go see the Lung Man, making sure some members of the team aren't allowed on the 'special mission' duck (there it is again! Quack quack) under the cover of darkness.
  23. Fully -- it's called reputation and it should stand up for you when you aren't there to speak for yourself.
  24. Twitter business model is like KE doping, dude. It's pretty far from sound or OK!
  25. I did. That would make it Posterous.
