@buckstopper - I don't know if one can prepare in SA to race in Europe ..theoretically I suppose one can, but the exposure to their way of racing, does simply not happen here, it seems... I talked to my son tonight, who is racing/riding in italy - he says they race harder in their neutral zone than what happens here in a race

I don't think there is anywhere that one can find 'official' results at this stage. We didnt have a prize giving today, will have tomorrow before the stage starts

Stage 3 done. Weather predictions proved to be correct - the race was shortened today, as it was quite cold out there! Some random images from all three racing categories (ladies included in VETS50+) Christie CathyCarstens - training for world champs goes hard on the first climb Just out of Rosetta, left turn on the road to Kamberg Sean Merridew, David Garret - on to win the first KOM (and the race, eventually!)

First stage completed, TT so start soon. The first stage was a short one, but it seems - a hard one too! VETS 30 - 39 David Garret came in for a solo win, approx a minute before Johan Labuschagne, who was also over a minute in front of the rest
