  2. Stage 3b The crit - Start The neutral lap
  3. I think things got a bit shuffled this morning, so I can't really say Racing Hart. I presume we will only get the GC print out after the Crit.
  4. You are right Witrot. He is doing so well! I understand he also likes crit racing, so this afternoon will be interesting - and Rourke Croeser is a crit animal!
  5. Stage 3a (82km) 1st Clinton Barrow - the last 90deg turn to the finish 2nd Robert du Preez 3rd Hendrik Kruger (Harmony) Today has a second stage. Crit starts at 15h00. Quite a challenging circuit with lots of tight corners. Racing for an hour + lap. Johann van Zyl (HoP) is now in Polkadot Chris van der Merwe (FinishLine) is in Yellow Clinton Barrow (Coimbra) is in Green And Michelle Corbett won the Junior Girls and did well to finish with boys' bunch
  6. Yip - the young rider is a 1st year junior. The first years are very strong this year - i think currently 5 of the 1st 10 on GC are first years

  11. Yip - Harrismith is bustling with activity, bikes, testosterone .. and more bikes. What a lovely town!! I can live here! Will try to post some pics tomorrow evening as the TT only starts at 13h30.
  12. Consider it a project in process at this stage.
  13. I think from the 'non golf course' side. So you would be coming up Jip de Jager from Hendrik Verwoerd (that is LoversLane for you, i think?) and then straight in to Kommissaris. Once in Kommissaris you can then take the 2nd road to the left and then directly right into Van de Graaf. (Not as in my map. Kommissaris has a lot of speed bumps)
  14. Ah great colonel!! - I just need the profile - total length and grade in different sections.
  15. glad you are enjoying this! at least I walked up there! (thinking out loud -- shall I post that pic taken on Vissershok? mmm ...Giro day 2/3. Hot day. very hot day ... )
  16. Don't quite know where this post belongs, but can one of the Northern Suburb Garmin owners please ride this route for me and mail me the profile? I marked it from where Kommissaris intersects with Jip de Jager, right up into the Nature reserve - but maybe do the profile from further down .. maybe where Hendrik Verwoerd intersects with Jip de Jager. Then ask permission at the Nature Reserve to go right to the top, and stop at the cannon. The cannon is about here - on the other side of where I was standing stunning view from there!
  17. Didn't mean you had to go to SUCH lengths to write a race report! GLAD YOU ARE OK though!! Hope the headache won't be too bad tomorrow!
  18. Great design mampara - less is more! Bold, yet simple and uncluttered!
  19. Maybe give us more info - what else did you change - setup wise - prior to your race on Sunday? New shoes, cleats maybe? Sometimes a subtle change in setup will make a marked difference, especially early in the race and at intensity
  20. Yip, completely. Even IF he had discomfort that carried over from Thursday to Sunday {from a sports massage} (!) it is very very unlikely that it would cause pain, as debilitating, as he describes it.
  21. sport massage is a recovery modality? Don't know if you should need recovery time from it? But even if the massage was extraordinarily vigorous, the type of focussed pain you describe, sounds as if it is coming from a specific origin for a specific reason.
  22. Pantani - this is range I get with the Tamron 18 - 250 Spot the red tanker I am still very new to all of this, and my personal opinion is that one shouldnt get equipment far beyond one's capability or knowledge, but as you grow and learn -- you can get the other goodies. Much like cycling. Why would you urge some one who wants to do his first Argus, to buy a SRM?
  23. Some more pics uploaded here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24461527@N07/sets/72157604067444159/ or here: http://picasaweb.google.com/RonelleR22/GiroDay407Mar08 (It is the same album on both sites)
