    Hi Nick I get all of that, stiffness, etc, etc. I also ride carbon wheels :-) I really questioned the reasoning of putting such an item on an e-bike. Methinks is good money wasted and I'm a frugal type of guy, well most of the time!!

    Very Retro These were the standard "medals" of the PPA (Western Cape) events in the 80's. The cool thing to do was to sow all your "medals" onto a track suit top. I still have a 2l ice cream bucket full of these at home!!

    The team worked really well together and achieved the best possible result for the 12 different abilities!! We protected the perceived weaker rides to Kestell as much as possible, so the strongest 6 could get to the finish in 6 hrs. Mission accomplished!!

    Called carbo-loading. Just in case pasta doesn't do the trick!! And it's more fun!!

    The wind is more of a concern at 21 kph. So real feel temp probably 4 or 5. Hope it stays NE!!

    Contacted PPA, and about 70 teams have entered. Not sure about the men/mixed split. I'll let Gerald talk about the team.

    BTW The YR website predicts a 9 deg C start on the 7th, heating to 11 deg. Wind ENE at 6-7m/s. Rain later in the day.
