  1. I'm looking for GoPro folding fingers to try to mount a light on a Forza stem mount. I assume the folding fingers can be removed from a disused/damaged GoPro? I have also placed a wanted ad.
  2. Does anyone know the date for this year's event? The organisers usually only announce it in July/August. My guess is Saturday 23 November. Is it safe to plan around this date?
  3. I would suggest: Stellenbosch -> Klipheuwel -> Malmesbury -> Hopefield -> Langebaan It is a safe route with wide shoulders. I prefer taking the R44 and Kromme Rhee Road to avoid Kayamandi.
  4. You've called it! 👌
  5. @W3_Fabrizio the route that you have planned looks great and runs through an area that is very safe in general. I have three suggestions: 1. When you ride through Robertson keep on the main road all the way to the roundabout (as shown in the map below). Don't cut through the neighbourhood on your right. 2. The red alternative route shown below follows back roads with less traffic. 3. There's a short section of the route before Ashton that runs over private land. The red alternative below will do the trick. I hope you have a great time riding in South Africa!
  6. To everyone riding on Sunday: Please remember to cross the white line and race over the red lights! Have fun and be safe!
  7. Did you just roll back to the start line after your first lap and do the 42km route? Did you have any difficulty getting back into the start chutes after your first lap? I did a second lap a couple of years ago. Is this still possible given the start time of the 42km route and the cutoff at the end of the M3?
  8. @Oltremo did you travel to Flanders? I might be in Belgium at the end of March, around the time of De Ronde. What was your experience? Any advice?
  9. Hi Stephan. I suggest these changes for Day 5: 1. Don't try to go down to Puntjie Nature Reserve. It is a private reserve with restricted access. There are small shops at Vermaaklikheid (km 37) where you can restock if necessary. 2. The detour towards the end will include the section along the river that Skubarra proposed.
  10. I have a Breville Barista Express that is due for a service. Can anyone recommend a good service provider in Cape Town?
  11. I went out to get the Christmas tree ready! 🎄
  12. Dot watching is exhausting...
