  1. From looking at the current price point the cassette would be ($ converted with NO import markup) around the 2k mark... For that price I will stick to my XO1 1x11 speed as the replacement parts cost the same. Its a lot cheaper to have 2x chainrings and swap them based on the race type you are doing than to go 12 speed and has been working well for me so will stick with 1x11 as there is nothing wrong with it
  2. Did a 53km last Friday already when it opened and I stay inside the 5km RADIUS all the time. Did little extra in the middle closer to home and can easily do a 80 ish without reusing any tar
  3. Hi All So I came to the conclusion reading the Garmin forums that I bought a Old stock Fenix 6x Sapphire from Cape Union mart Serial : 36402... These all have a blue haze on the color and they are literally the worst of the worst when it comes to the display quality. Read more here: https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/outdoor-recreation/f/fenix-6-series/174384/two-sapphire-fenix-6-pro-s-backlight-contrast-issues?ReplySortBy=CreatedDate&ReplySortOrder=Descending Spoke to Gartmin this morning and Tsepiso I spoke to is aware of the "blue halo" as they call it and said they will email me back with next steps as they might just replace it. Here is hoping for the best Might be worth while checking it out and getting yours replaced if needed.
  4. Singletrack Cycles was open today. Under what guise they were operating I dont know but the doors were open
  5. I did calibrate a few time. 265w feels like 320w outside so it feels a lot harder. ERG also doesnt help here cause when it starts to bite it just gets worse. Problem is the Stages is on my Rocky with GXP and the bike I have on the IDT is a cheapy so cant run both to link them and test. I might be upgrading the M2 to a Elite Suito soon so will be able to run and link them together No was done inside on a Ramp test. The Stages one is from outside prolonged rides 2h+ that gives a estimate of 235 FTP. Also I have been training for 12 days straight so might need to take a day off to do the FTP...
  6. Yea will do the Ramp. I hate the Half Mark FTP one as its 20min of semi dieing for me. The FTP i got of 265 was from the Zwift Ramp test. Will redo that tomorrow when my legs are back
  7. Thanks. I think my only option would be to set my outside FTP to what my Stages Suggested at 265 and do a Indoor FTP over the weekend and use that for the Zwift Indoor workouts.
  8. Outside that is realistic and I can maintain that on long sections but on the IDT that threshold seem to pretty much knock me. Indoor and Outdoor as per the "Article" you linked should be adjusted so Im just going to run a little lower for now and build from there. It seem to be the best way forward until I can do another test in a week from now. The 265 was on the Stages on a Dumb trainer but have since got the SARIS M2 Smart and at 265w that thing clamps like a b... Might just redo it on the SARIS to get a better baseline for Indoor
  9. I think thats the leading question here. Garmin is clearly overstating but I cant figure out why it would be that high, Zwift included and then Stages is short changing me. I tend to feel I need to lower it to the Stages one @ 235 and just let it auto adjust it upwards if it wants to
  10. I know but its literally the last thing I want to think of or do right now
  11. Hi All So in light of all the indoor training and things going on I finally got to ride outside with my Stages powermeter and did a very awesome 52km today. That asside I keep on getting a "Dashboard FTP incorrect" on Stages and started looking into the FTP measurements, reading up, talking to freinds etc. Now to provide some background I have been wearing a Garmin Fenix as choice for measurements for the past 4 years and for every meter I moved it is on Garmin Connect. I recently got a Stages Powermeter and added that into the mix and then I started Zwift'ing on a SARIS M2 Smart trainer My FTP are as follows Garmin Connect : 319 Zwift : 301 Stages : 235 - Estimated When I last did a FTP test 2 weeks ago it rated me at 265 and thats what I set my Zwift to at that time so was wondering how the hell do you now know whats correct if all the platforms are credible to their following are varied so much ? Any help will be apreciated PS. No I'm not interested in doing another 20min k@k off session to determine a new FTP
  12. I have to add though. Sitting on a dumb trainer doing 300w and then getting on a smart controlled trainer doing 300w is VERY diffirent. When that controller kicks in it feels like your legs are being beaten with a stick
  13. So the rule say 5km radius from your house I'm hitting up a 50km in my 5km radius tomorrow
  14. Literally every 2nd day in winter when I double buff at 5am in the morning for that gains
  15. Last I heard you and all other Wahoo retailers are out of shock waiting on shipment mid May on the new inflated pricing? You can also sell if you had stock and distribute after lockdown. Some courier companies do however deliver during this time so should look into that option. The current distributor in this regard do have a essential services license and their interpretation of what can and cant be couriers might differ from others Also was not sold though the manufacturer or importer directly so please dont get the wrong people into trouble.
  16. Well technically it counts as its almost here Redacted till further notice
  17. I came to the conclusion that it woudnt be relevant to discuss what a fanbelt a few pulleys and a bunch of resistors would actually cost in comparison to their sell price and if its actually worth what they sell it for. But then you get into the emotion of how someone feels over their purchas and all who has spend a bunch of money will justify the purchase value over the benefit and those that measure the price vs value of a product would say building a R300 home made roller would provide the same benefit Ultimately I wanted to know the manufacturing cost of a Kickr
  18. No you jump to coclusions without being informed. All is forgiven and yes it might be second hand but there is no wear on your current components as a bonus so that nice and shiny XX1 can stay that way thoughout winter I think in essence what I was trying to relay is Wahoo is pricing themselves out of the market as alternatives are becoming more affordable when you look at their pricing and potentially positioning themselves as a elitist brand rather than a general consumer brand. PS. Yes its amazing when a Ferrari comes past you but ultimately its the Polo thats building the economy and getting ppl to work
  19. Hahaha. Before you comment go read what it is. It does have power. It does have Ant+ to connect to Zwift it does have Speed and Cad. Cleary you are to misinformed to know the diffirence. Literally the 1st sentence on it "The Cycleops Phantom 3 Indoor Cycle is 21st century indoor cardio built for cyclists by cyclists. They partnered up with PowerTap to engineer the most accurate power measurement technology then built it into a dedicated indoor set up. We’re talking an industry leading power accuracy of +/- 1.5% here folks! Combined with the Joule GPS, this technology gives you all the performance data you’ve ever wanted." And then the last sentence "The Phantom 3 is compatible with most ANT+ CycleOps or PowerTap products," Go to https://zwift.com/hardware Under indoor trainer you can see Zwift support Phantom 3 under Ant+
  20. https://www.bicyclepower.co.za/product/cycleops-phantom-3-indoor-cycle/ Just saying
  21. Yes true. But its only true under this exact circumstances. When the lockdown is over most of those scrambling to buy a IDT will realise they hate a IDT as being honest its not for everyone and requires a very diciplined individual to do it day in and day out. I personally hate riding a IDT and will ride in the rain in the middle of winter at 4am outside instead. In 6 months from now there will be 100's on the market. Wahoo will need to deal with zero to no sales during that time too due to the overflooding now resulting in to many white elephans in to many houses as who in their right mind will buy a new one at R30k+ when you can get a minimal used one for 12-15k due to the 2nd hand market.
  22. I think this is a 2 fold discussion. Christiaan has given his input into the price increase but at the end of the day from a consumer point of view Wahoo as a brand will need to understand when you price yourself out of the market at R25k you should ask yourself if its in the best interest of the brand and company to want to sell 5 Ferraries a year or 20000 Polo's expanding the brand laterally I would consider the previous price point at R15k even a bit high when you have to compare price vs value and the current R25k makes me look for a alternative outright. If there is none I will buy a 2nd hand one for R8k considering the 1st owner only paid R13k less than a year ago.
  23. Zwift on the speed/cad sensor does virtual power based on what it thinks you are putting out at nominal to no resistance. Zwift also rides agains gradients so when you doing 17kph on your garmin and Zwift say 4kph you might just be heading up a hill virtually I have a Stages Power meter and riding on a dumn trainer while recoding on my F6x and riding on Zwift. The 2 stats are way off from one another due to the "terrain" you ride in Zwift. I hit 30km on my Garmin then i have a varying 12-27km in Zwift. Depends on the terain What I do is just post my Garmin only stats and just use Zwift for the social aspect / Training programs Oh and PS. My wheel circumfrence in Garmin is set to 2189 (Maxis Crossmark 2 29x2.25). In your case it seem like the Speed/Cad sensors stop responding or recording and thats why you have a very low kph and standing still at times in game
  24. Hi Lads Mine used to get stuck at 50% on "Activating Map" and while I was charging now decided to just try it again. It went past the "Activating Map" where it used to give a error and continued with the next step op Copying Files. 62% and counting now. Using Garmin Express Fenix 6X Sapphire Edit It updated to 6 now with no issues
