  1. Literally every 2nd day in winter when I double buff at 5am in the morning for that gains
  2. Last I heard you and all other Wahoo retailers are out of shock waiting on shipment mid May on the new inflated pricing? You can also sell if you had stock and distribute after lockdown. Some courier companies do however deliver during this time so should look into that option. The current distributor in this regard do have a essential services license and their interpretation of what can and cant be couriers might differ from others Also was not sold though the manufacturer or importer directly so please dont get the wrong people into trouble.
  3. Well technically it counts as its almost here Redacted till further notice
  4. I came to the conclusion that it woudnt be relevant to discuss what a fanbelt a few pulleys and a bunch of resistors would actually cost in comparison to their sell price and if its actually worth what they sell it for. But then you get into the emotion of how someone feels over their purchas and all who has spend a bunch of money will justify the purchase value over the benefit and those that measure the price vs value of a product would say building a R300 home made roller would provide the same benefit Ultimately I wanted to know the manufacturing cost of a Kickr
  5. No you jump to coclusions without being informed. All is forgiven and yes it might be second hand but there is no wear on your current components as a bonus so that nice and shiny XX1 can stay that way thoughout winter I think in essence what I was trying to relay is Wahoo is pricing themselves out of the market as alternatives are becoming more affordable when you look at their pricing and potentially positioning themselves as a elitist brand rather than a general consumer brand. PS. Yes its amazing when a Ferrari comes past you but ultimately its the Polo thats building the economy and getting ppl to work
  6. Hahaha. Before you comment go read what it is. It does have power. It does have Ant+ to connect to Zwift it does have Speed and Cad. Cleary you are to misinformed to know the diffirence. Literally the 1st sentence on it "The Cycleops Phantom 3 Indoor Cycle is 21st century indoor cardio built for cyclists by cyclists. They partnered up with PowerTap to engineer the most accurate power measurement technology then built it into a dedicated indoor set up. We’re talking an industry leading power accuracy of +/- 1.5% here folks! Combined with the Joule GPS, this technology gives you all the performance data you’ve ever wanted." And then the last sentence "The Phantom 3 is compatible with most ANT+ CycleOps or PowerTap products," Go to https://zwift.com/hardware Under indoor trainer you can see Zwift support Phantom 3 under Ant+

  8. Yes true. But its only true under this exact circumstances. When the lockdown is over most of those scrambling to buy a IDT will realise they hate a IDT as being honest its not for everyone and requires a very diciplined individual to do it day in and day out. I personally hate riding a IDT and will ride in the rain in the middle of winter at 4am outside instead. In 6 months from now there will be 100's on the market. Wahoo will need to deal with zero to no sales during that time too due to the overflooding now resulting in to many white elephans in to many houses as who in their right mind will buy a new one at R30k+ when you can get a minimal used one for 12-15k due to the 2nd hand market.
  9. I think this is a 2 fold discussion. Christiaan has given his input into the price increase but at the end of the day from a consumer point of view Wahoo as a brand will need to understand when you price yourself out of the market at R25k you should ask yourself if its in the best interest of the brand and company to want to sell 5 Ferraries a year or 20000 Polo's expanding the brand laterally I would consider the previous price point at R15k even a bit high when you have to compare price vs value and the current R25k makes me look for a alternative outright. If there is none I will buy a 2nd hand one for R8k considering the 1st owner only paid R13k less than a year ago.
  10. So do we add events that allow E-Bikes on that list? Asking for a friend
  11. Well... If we want to or not E-bikes are here to stay. I am waiting on the next generation before I pull the trigger on one. I am not selling any of my others but considering cycling is supposed to be fun I truly believe every bike has its place. On a day out with a group on trails it will be great. On days where you want to do long steady pace climbing then there is another bike for the job. I think a lot of people lose focus when a ebike comes zipping past them at 80km on 947 (especially me this year) and I admit if he was close enough i would have thrown him with my Rocky. But at the end of the day you need to be content with what you are doing and if ebike works for you then great I'm deff getting one in 2019 when the next generation comes out as a n+1
  12. Was going to say exactly this. XO1 11-Speed 11-42t for quite some time now on my 1x. Came from a XT M8000 setup and its a lot better than the XT (Personal opinion). Shifting is crisp and for the past year I havent touched my deraleur to set any thresholds. I tend to find that I had to adjust the XT a lot (Personal experience for my riding style) Personally I wont mind having a XT again but if i have a choice it would be SRAM all the way through the bank (I am not sold on the 12-speed yet. My 11-speed is more than capable)
  13. Just want to add this here. There are new techniques now that dont require fusion of the back. Maybe investigate this option
  14. So I have been struggeling with Lumbar pain on and off over the past 10 years I would say. I finally bite the bullet and went to a Chiropractor. Worst decision of my life. After the 1st session the pain was so bad I was walking like a hunchback for a week. Went back over and over and every time it got worse. It later effected the middle of my back and Neck. After about 4 sessions I decided to stop it as it was causing more pain than it should It's been a month now and I finally feel normal again still with the odd pain in the lumbar if I havent been active for a few days. If I go for a long cycle it seems to open up my Lumbar a lot. When I get lazy and dont cycle for a few days I can feel the pain starting to set in and a general stiffnes in the lower back. My advice would be to let your body flex in its own way. If you arent immobile then there is no need to go to them. On topic though. I have changed my daily med routine and I have actiually been doing surprisingly well with all the ebola walking around me. I would say that i have phlem that I cough up whle riding but other than that no other simptoms so far (this has been for the past 2 months now)
  15. Yea.. One of the best places to ride with an awesome view is officially now not usable.... FFS
  16. That's what she said Hectic though and the sole reason I own a car
  17. Top of Klapperkop just as the sun starts to set
  18. I really enjoyed it. Was nice and clean most of the time. Had 2 slips in the gutters but didn't fall luckily. Saw a chick with pink fall hard and saw someone in the tunnel fall quite hard and then heard how someone behind me fell his "*** af" on pretty much the same section where the chick fell. All in all 9/10 race for me. Will do it again next year No... Just no. My legs were burnt toast at that point
  19. Am I just being stupid here. Can anyone point me to the route links? Here is the Link to the map http://www.juma.co.za/wp-content/uploads/HOLLARD%20JUMA%20MAP.pdf
  20. One suggestion I might add to the Classifieds is could we potentially add a option where you select Wheel Size and Frame Size to ask "Frame Material" as I tend to look at ads and think nice bike in my budget then go into the add to see... Allu frame... next Not related but it would help some of us focus on what we are looking for considering we have Allu or Carbon now as mainstream options as well
  21. What I have noticed though is when selling something if its not a buy of the year people in general is not interested. Eg. I have a PRC Carbon seat post 27.2 that's new almost 3k. Even at 1.5k negotiable no one is interested in it. I see quite a lot of carbon seat posts even at R750 just sitting around not being bought and these are quite expensive items new. I think budget related people will buy only when it reaches that once in a lifetime deal price point hence the i will pay 10% of new price offers. I find myself recently asking "Value vs Offering" questions a lot. R18 for a pack of Simba chips is just crazy considering R15 for Flannigans currently was quite expensive less than 3 months ago as an example. I don't think the bike parts we are paying new is worth the value. R2200 for a 11 speed cassette for instance. New prices of items are over inflated by quite a large margin and its just pulling the 2nd hand market with it and people cant afford it Why buy a 2nd hand cassette for R1500 in like new condition when less than 8 months ago you bought a new one for R800... the dynamics just doesn't make sense
