Dude! What a blast. Gavin and co did an excellent job this year. Cleaned the trails up really nice. No serious injuries is a win. Stage 4 was the highlight of the day though, all those big boulders for drop offs were awesome! Plus a decent amount of riders showed up as well. We're hoping for the same turnout this weekend at cascades.

This is going to be a blast. So far every year at Howick has been awesome. Last year was super gnarly. This year should be a little more chilled. Either way, sounds like it's going to be loads of fun.

Currently riding a Giant Trance 2 GE. Was in the sweet spot for everything I wanted. Biggest surprise to me was how light the frame feels. I've not weighed it but I think it might be worth investigating. Only down side a little are the rims. They just feel a little cheaper than everything else on the bike. Karkloof man! You can get lost in that place with the amount of trails they have. And then just over the hill there's Howick as well. Not to mention how the trails move from plantations to open fields. It's just such a unique experience.

Perhaps we could look at carbonite.co.za for some inspiration? Those guys have worked really hard at building a reasonable marketplace with good moderators and the general mentality among buyers is to only look if serious about buying. No negotiation after settling on a price. Seller has final say.

What would be a good upgrade to Bontrager XR2? Currently running 2.2 front and 2.1. rear. I would prefer something a little wider as I do mostly trails. This is for future reference as right now these tires aren't bad at all. Don't have any issue with grip and I'm actually quite surprised at how well they handle rough trails.

A lot actually. But a bit more advanced. The planets are quite boring at the moment, with no liquid featured at all in the game. The collision mechanics in the game are quite wonderful, but they take a toll on a computer. You need a beefy machine to run this smoothly. It's also a steep learning curve as with most games of this sort.

I've been addicted to Shadow Warrior 2 on PC if anyone is keen on joining in some coop fun. Though I don't get much time to play, it's fun for a quick shotgun to the face round.

It's not bad, but unless you really enjoy building like legos and then destroying it in one massive explosion then there's not much else to do in the game. It needs more in my opinion.

Can be fun, I think I'm on just over 1300 hours on it now. But I rarely play it like anyone else.

Not jamming in VR, but I got a couple of hours in that game. Good game, great with VR.

This reminds me that I need to give my hardtail a good look over. Recently went against a couple of dual sus bikes and I was bouncing around way too much...

He has videos on Giba Gorge on that channel. I'm planning on going there this weekend.

I was there on Sunday. There were quite a lot of people and as usual some great shops. I was disappointed by the fact that they had the race where I wanted to go cycle though, luckily I only had to wait a short time before they opened it again. Had an amazing downhill session there. Ended up flying over my handle bars. I'm still not used to disc brakes.

Another new guy! Wife got me interested in bikes a couple of weeks ago. Did a reasonable amount of research. Watched a couple of hours of videos and now I feel like it's time to take the next step! Just like a relationship...
