  1. Hey Guys Bookings are filling up quick for service & set-up for the Epic.Get your bike in before there is no space left. Our price hasn't changed - still R 350 for a full service. We will be at Joburg2C servicing bikes. We have set this bike up for Sani2C & are busy cutting it down on weight for the Epic. Around 10 Kg for a dual sus 29er...not too shabby
  2. Only a German by the name of Hans 'No way' Rey can do that!
  3. Hey guys I saw Henry(the guy from the Emperors race) yesterday at Ride for Sight! Did he have a huge smile on his face or what! I think it is awesome that the hub could have that king of impact on a person.Good job for all all the people that pulled together on this 1!
  4. I think it looks pretty good.Job well done!
  5. Hey Guys With Sani2C just around the corner everyone is in peak physical shape. It is now time to make sure that your bike is in peak shape & ready for some punishment. We are offering a full service special for Sani2C.We also offer a bike collection & drop off service.please visit our website www.spot-on-bikes.com for more details
  6. I think the next & final bit for this bike is a white saddle
  7. I dont think it was THAAAAAT bad.Sure the distance was shorter but compare it to the 94.7 MTB race last year-it was much better & cost around the same.
  8. Definately a lot cheaper with out question. One of the catches are if the components give you hassles or are defective you have a little problem on your hands & I think this also makes problems for the local suppliers as they are now stuck with carrying out the manufacture warranty.Another issue is,what if the parcel arrives in South Africa & it has been damaged in transit or the wrong spec parts have been shipped. Its a sticky situation as you can save a fair ammount from buying from CRC.pedal pusher2010-02-11 05:49:15
  9. all the metalic red bits have been powder coated & then sprayed over with a clear resin which is also baked on.

  12. We gave this GT an extreme makeover. It looks quite good & it goes really nicely too with the new components & drop in weight. before & after pic pedal pusher2010-02-01 06:59:05
  13. Hey guys Does anybody do the night rides at Rietvlei? Does anybody have details on this? I think its on Tuesdays & Fridays.
  14. I have got some Suomi Gazza tires in stock, which are perfect for tubeless & are really high quality from Finland.I have XC race tires & XC all terrain tires. They are going for R 500.00 a set. Please check out the Suomi site http://www.suomityres.fi/
  15. This is an amazing trip, and surprisingly not super expensive.I think it was worth every cent & would highly recomend it to any person on a MTB!Beautiful single track & awseome encounters with game.
  16. Hey guys I think the 29er hardtail is a really great alternative to getting a dual sus bike.Generally they are sustancially lighter than the average dual sus bike but you are still capable of riding over some pretty rough stuff & not suffer a smashed kidney or 2.The ride is much more comfy & has a stable feeling, although I do agree that the acceleration is a bit slower than a 26 inch. The 29er is also a machine through sand.To sum up,I would recommend a 29er for the purpose of xc racing as apposed to using a dual sus.We stock Niner,& can put you on the saddle of one for around R 21 500.00 http://bike29.com/blog/uploaded_images/IMG_0113-771322.JPG
  17. Hey Fatboyslim For that price range,we can get your friend on a really decent ride.Possibly a GT Zaskar or if he is willing to stretch the budget a little more,I would suggest a 29er.
  18. I can definitely do it for you.I use a scratch resistant epoxy paint which is pretty durable, but I will also provide you with some enamel touch up paint,to hide any cheeky scratches.I can do both wheels for R 500.00.Have a look at the GT on my site in the gallery, those wheels were sprayed with the epoxy.
  19. Hey Capricorn I have converted a set of rims to white last month, but on a mtb you are always going to get nasty scratches popping up.
  20. Hey guys,Spot - on is based in Jhb.We stock HOPE,which has some really pimped merchandise.
