  1. If i loose 10kg's and drop to 84, i'll throw a moerse party! ;-)
  2. It's about the bike? Hmmmm....
  3. Close enough. ;-) Popeye said he's looking for a good wheel to suck in C. I'll let him know you're there. ;-)
  4. Congrats! Only a few short MTB races away from A. ;-)
  5. Nog een nader aan die SV's Faan... ;-)
  6. And then the realisation that it was money "well spent" Faan? ;-)
  7. Ivan, Are you going to give me a set to test while i'm a lab rat at the SSI in 2 weeks time? Then we can see if it improves the performance for an avg Joe Soap cyclist? ;-) 2 Trials with the rings, and 2 without them... Spin Scan then spits out the numbers for us to see.
  8. Darn, the motorcycle aint got no legs! ;-)
  9. If i fitted a Q-ring style sprocket to my motorcycle, woud it improve bottem end power? Or make the engine more efficient?
  10. I just would like to know ... if it is more efficient (mechanically, physically, or whichever way)... why don't you see it applied in any "other" areas? Only in cycling? Ivan dude, gimme a set to test at the SSI. Let's see if it actually helps an average joe wannabe cyclist! ;-)
  11. Hey Ivan, I'm going to the SSI in 2 weeks time for some tests. On the Spinscan and all... I'll test those Q-ring jobbies from a purely unbiast point of view. Since i have to do 4 test - why not 2 of them with and 2 of them without the rings? Do you have a set that fits Campag? ;-) _C50_2007-08-03 03:41:03
  12. Jy maggie, noggie nou al nie! EN eers nadat jy vir my op 'n training camp gevat het. ;-)
  13. Faan, Moenie komkommer nie, hulle gaan dink jy's 'n Master wat saam die Vets wil ry! ;-)
  14. To come back to your question Saffa. Like i said, only been to 3 classes there with 3 diffirent instructors. Of the 3 instructors i thought 2 could actually do with a little more spinning themselves. The one dude/class was decent, but then i don't have any spinning "experience".
  15. It definitely makes for good "entertainment value" i thought. From the absolutely serious/professional spinner types to the not-so-serious ones...
  16. Saffa, I've only recently tried the spinning thing, also at Tygervalley VA. Did 3 diffirent classes at 3 diffirent instructors, don't ask me names though. 1 Class was supposed to be a "power" class, and a complete waste of time i though. Their definition of power training is to see how long you can spin in a heavy resistance standing up?? The 2 other classes weren't to bad. Although i tend to agree with Colonel. I find going out on my MTB for a hour offroad after work to be better than a spin class. Well, then there's the ladies... To train or to perv, that is the question? ;-)
  17. a TDF stage victory, and no-one can take that away from him. Absolutely brilliant!
  18. I rush home in the hope that MNET sport channel hopefully/maybe shows the TDF .... and no, golf!! Damnit! Probably 'cause i have my golf bag in the car and not my bike. sh*t!
  19. Not that i know much about MTB's .... my 50c's worth But what about the Mongoose Canaan Team Edition? Awesome specs and comes in around R25K? They had one at Knysna. Stans ZTR wheels, SRAM X0, Avid (don't know which model) Disk brakes. Fox fork and shock (models?). Don't know about the weight though. Maybe i'm just a little sentimental regarding Mongoose, reminds me of my BMX days and first BMX. ;-)
  20. hey Buff you night owl! ;-) congrats dude, or should i say mrs Buff? maybe i can get my other half to join her. brand new GT standing in the Garage unused. lol
  21. I manage to get out of Zevenwacht before it gets really dark. Takes me just over an hour to get from my house to the Spa and back. If i leave at 17:30 i'm back by 18:30, which is still fine. Last 10mins is on the roads. I left at 17:45 once and fell twice coming back down! Luckily it was on soft, sandy bits. And no one saw me fall either. ;-)
  22. Well done Buff. Need diffirent tread on those shoes of yours? ;-) The weather was awesome. Pity i don't think about that when i'm getting killed by that hill. The view made up for it. The way my legs feel at the moment, i don't know about motorbike spokes. Feeling very "pap" at the moment. Very worried about sunday. Going today after work again, buckled wheel and all. Then i'll chill untill sunday. Oh, so it's Marks wifey that you ran with. You guys were motoring.
  23. Hey Buff, Did you remember to plaster up those nipples last night? ;-) Broke a spoke in my back wheel, AGAIN! Seriously pissing me off now, that's 4 now in the last 8 weeks or so. Need to take that wheel to Mark so he can sort it out. Are you still going out to Delvera today?
  24. Alrighty then. You still going ahead with your knight ride tomorrow eve? I think my light is to sh*tty to even think about that, full moon or not. Will be heading out there again straight after work tomorrow.
  25. Buff, What time are you going to head out for Zevenwacht today? I'm going after work, will be leaving around 5H30. Following the same route as we did but going up to the tower, down to the Spa, and back again.
