  1. Yeah. Was definitely not a sidewall cut. Still a "choice of tyre" fault then?
  2. 5min 10sec
  3. They are that much better than the rest, are they?
  4. Go via the pedalpower website (http://www.pedalpower.org.za) and use the results link. You will see all your results there.
  5. If only it was as easy as that.... You always get the guys riding 2nd/3rd/4th wheel and they never pull through to the front. It's obviously much better winning the group than working together for a better time which would relate to a better seeding. That concept is pretty foreign in the lower alphabet groups it seems. And it's much better sitting close to the front of the bunch doing nothing, than in the middle of the bunch. Quite amusing i have to say.

  7. Like i said before, the J group results are correct except for the first three riders. They must've crossed the timing mats at the start quite a while after the group went through. The first 2 riders having done so quite a while after the J group went through, the 3rd rider a little less so. There was quite a long wait between crossing the mats and actually starting. I would suggest that Racetec let the groups cross the mats closer to the time that they actually start. There should be less inconsistenceis then. Or they should not allow a rider to join groups ahead of the one they crossed the mat with.
  8. The first 3 results in J is definitely incorrect. I suspect that the lady who is fourth on the results might've gone over the timing mats at the start with the group behind and started with J.

  10. Also can't find a "auto upload" option on the iPhone to switch off. I did a 4H30 ride over the weekend and it didn't even use half of my battery power. Do you switch your screen off after locking it?
  11. From Brackenfell get on the Bottelary Hills mtb trails at the Hazendal entrance. Get on the green route, then onto the red route where the green and red routes connect. Follow the red route from there and it will take you all the way to Middelvlei in Stellenbosch. All info here. Make sure to get a permit, if you don't already have one. We did Brackenfell to Stellenbosch via the Bottelary Hills trails onto Eden, G-spot, through to Coetzenburg, and back to Brackenfell the last couple of weekends. No safety issues in Eden, Paradyskloof, etc at all.
  12. What about racing your mates to church?
  13. May you ride your bicycle to church.... on a Sunday?
  14. Ofcourse they do. Guess what... i still didn't notice a difference.
  15. Claimed? Where? I asked why you couldn't use another fork. I said i don't notice any difference between two different bikes with the same G2 fork, that's all. Thanks for the tip, i'll make a mental note.
  16. Never claimed to have designed any bikes... But i guess i will have to get myself another fork now. Because Mr Fisher said so. Come to think of it... that's probably why i suck so much in the technical stuff. It's obviously the bikes fault.
  17. The offset on a G2 fork is actually 51mm. Compared to lets say a range of 44-46mm in most others. That's a whole 5mm.... i'm sure your bike is going to become unridable when you slap a non-G2 fork on a Trek/Fisher. Just like mine became when i put the G2 fork on, NOT... I rode a Fisher with G2 geometry with the G2 fork. Now a non-G2 geometry bike with the same G2 fork. I can't tell the difference. But if Mr Fisher told you not to, then don't.
  18. Why not? So it might "slacken" the geometry up a little, you won't even notice. I have my ex-Gary Fisher Fox fork with G2 geometry on my current bike. It works, i ride, no problem.
  19. If you decide on the Trek i hope for your part it doesn't break... because in my opinion the local distributors are absolutely useless.
  20. Like this one?
  21. There is no ways that the Bulls frame geometry is the same as the Niner. In fact, they've gone with a different approach than most of the other manufacturers - shorter HTT lengths with longer chain stay lengths. Bulls CopperHead 29 (L) Horizontal Top Tube Length = 615mm Chain Stay Length = 460mm Head Tube Angle = 71.5deg Niner Air9 (L) Horizontal Top Tube Length = 622mm Chain Stay Length = 445mm Head Tube Angle = 72deg
  22. A few pics my father in law took. Wish i could say it was me...
