Do you have any other race results in the past 7 years.
They probably have used your time from 7 years ago, but with the time penalty, 9:40 is about right.
I have once also had the cleat sink into the tar, it was a recent pour on the Friday, the Saturday I round home at around 1pm and put my foot down and it just sank. I still see the cleat hole when I ride past it.
But road riding is still the largest events in South Africa by a country mile.
Its not as prolific as it was in the 90's but now there are a lot more things that are a lot more easily accessible to people.
Agreed, there is construction at River club as well and the roads are already taking a beating, they should really do more to get them to repair the damage.
Kudos to them, they obviously wanted to have Vissershoek as it was in their original plans.
After the crash at the start of Wellington race this is probably a good idea putting safety first.
If there is a stinking cross wind it will be plenty tough enough.
