  1. What about from the graveyard to Lords, that about 24km I think from memory at 8%
  2. You had a good ride today! Put some time into uncle Dave!
  3. My biggest gripe, as if a drunk driver drives his car because a cyclist rode 2 abreast on a road. Getting murdered has nothing to do with how you rode your bike 3 months ago on constania nek. Drivers just need consequences or the petrol price needs to go to R55 per litre.
  4. Those can be weeded out and would need some moderation.
  5. Heard someone working on a little AI project that pulls all the nasty comments on those cycling videos on social media to create a database of businesses and people that cyclists can avoid. I would like not to do business with someone that celebrates cylists dying.
  6. Love that your username is PBP2007
  7. When you suffering there already....
  8. I see someone posted a picture of us IN A CYCLING lane with the "Bloody cyclists" comment, I mean we ride all over the place, but that picture we were single file in a BIKE LANE. So sorry about the poor cyclist and the life changing incident which was pointless from the taxi saving 45 seconds. We drove back from the lake on Monday, we had an Audi overtake 8 cars and a truck on a blind rise and corner, there was no way he could see what was coming - he was just driving on a prayer and hope that there was no oncoming car. I mean, you are willing to risk your whole family...
  9. Get in there!
  10. Not even Friday, this is SO going on the podcast
  11. On the things that the Cycle Tour needs to change, the short Route, Needs to be on the saturday on closed roads from Town to Hout Bay and back. Have it as a proper protest ride, the roads a mare anyway in the morning with all the people on that road and its a much better route than the highway and high way. Can also allow parents to ride both days and have a jol.
  12. Did you see his socks He is even faster in a DC team without a suite Such a lekker bloke, find out more on the podcast:
  13. The 109km was decent, not many issues I saw in &, some oke tyre blew off the rim in simons town and managed to keep it up right, kudos to him. The 44km was a viab with Swift's first one, he doesnt believe in bib shorts or clip in shoes yet. Plenty of gees on the route and wow the 9E start had a lot of people. Great morning out of cycling and lots of excited talk about next year! Maybe my last sub 3 for 4 or 5 years... WhatsApp Video 2026-03-08 at 10.53.50 (1).mp4 WhatsApp Video 2026-03-08 at 10.53.50.mp4
  14. Did they take anythign other than the bike. sorry for the ordeal, it really shakes one. so ***.
  15. Bleak man, there were some okes on Factors and Scotts that were a bit of a mare.
  16. Andre, was great seeing you my man. What a treat.
  17. But the point is from woodstock on ramp, the N1 is no longer a highway. Saying you can ride it because its legal.
  18. If you were inbound the freeway ends at the woodstock bridge, I have had a spirited discussion with a traffic cop before, we even went back and there are no high way signs on that on ramp. He would be busy on Tuesday morning with the 65 of us coming in.
  19. Yeah, similar, I just found it by chance. Will try and attend a few more and call people out to come brawl next time.
  20. Yes, dont throw it in the bin thinking the numbers are 1 use...
  21. Went back to enjoy a morning of crit racing with myself and my youngsters, last time raced this event was 2014!! Was such a well run event, closed roads, tough racing and a race for all ages. Big shout out and thank you to the team that put it together, I know its close to the Argus but should really have a lot more riders, especially in the younger age groups. I had fun but placed nowhere. Should probably have shaved my legs.
  22. Perfect, some head wind to calm okes down, then tail home
  23. Well filmed, its Bainskloof crash guy. That lunge for the line ... 9:55 savage being noisy in the background
  24. I also wonder if the way 99er was raced also doesn't effect the Tour de PPA. 99er, the C batch caught B and %, as people didn't want to work for a time and just wanted to "win" their group. With that in mind, I thought we would catch B group on Sunday on the road, we did let off when our youngster went off the front with 17km to go, so we only got within 40 seconds, so the group was not soft pedaling. We only finished ahead on time of B and half of A. So the groups pace was also effected I think by the previous race and how it went down.
