    So this morning on the ride into town from the burbs, our group of around 12 pulled onto the N1 after navigating the bridge, after about 500m the whole yellow lane was full of bricks, I managed to hit 3 of them and stayed up right. Buggers were lurking in the shadows but decided not to come greet the large group, think they saw our boet from Benoni and thought better of it... Stay safe out there...

    Still think that the short route should be on Saturday from Town to Hout bay circle and back. All those that travel in could have a nice safe leg loosener, the eBike gang can do a Sub 1 hour, families can ride together, its actually a nice route, both sides of sugar bush is a great climb. Those in Llandudno can just use their helicopters on Saturday and Sunday. Keep all the cyclists away from cars for the weekend. Can even boost the money raised for charity.

    I cannot believe someone went through all these effort and planning... sub 3 on strava... but sit in a car park for 40 minutes. Like even Lance's choices make more sense.

    But you did just that with the first part - "For anyone that wanted to fall in" you would have pulled people along unfairly. We have had eBikes join on our rides before, especially in headwinds, when you have someone motoring on the front it increases the whole average speed and affects everyone.

    Looking at some of the "elite" riders numbers on Sunday, I could have ridden there... some not making a sub 3. (Excluding those that crashed) There is video of okes dropped on hospital bend...

    Its not been good - 81kg - I was about to lie, but from the above photos a spare tyre can be seen.

    Only photos we got was on the ride back to the cars! What an amazing day out in Cape Town! A little Jack Black at Lekker, a little castle light and tequila at the farm village and Viabs the rest of the way!
