  1. I just felt bad for Merc releasing such a meh car on same day that Alpine drop that sick one.
  2. I have a problem
  3. Well Sunday is a North Wester, do dont have to worry about the dreaded South Easter
  4. Well now I really want a virtual goodie bag. Normally buy, Versus socks, GP4000, track pump, Cadence gels and some chamois cream.
  5. How Canyon had wished the marketing department had not splashed a massive logo on the bars in white. Coming from a company that acknowledges that the design things to give world pros the edge to win and that things may break from time to time, not surprising.
  6. Is sharp not another name for twitchy? Depends what feel you prefer I guess.
  7. Just from looking at the geo, the Giant has a slacker head angle than something like a Superix, Maybe this makes shorter stems a little easier.
  8. Does it really matter as insurance would replace it after a crash. Same for the guys rolling on old mad fibers, when those things break they get to buy a small island or some Mielstiens.
  9. I think AMG are just trolling us now designing a car that looks like the Marusia car.
  10. What about his mate in the same set up but has his uncles $ seeding!!!!
  11. I have no sympathy for eBikers anymore after our one on the morning ride has dropped me 1000 mornings in a row. Breakaway and change the battery at Oceanview.
  12. No, no, no, the best is that its only a little soft, no puncture, just forgot to pump it up with track pump. Then decides he is going to bomb it, simple, plenty of time. Starts to bomb it but the group moves forward, so he tries to keep up with the bomb adapter still attached, the wheel catches the ground and the bomb inserts itself into the frame and snaps the valve off. NOW THERE IS A PANIC. Everyone gets to watch a guy change a tube in 3 minutes!
  13. I prefer to spread the carnage out a little, have the strung out Peloton at tops of Smits, drop the bottle or two, then in Misty Cliffs the sitting on the wheel normally causes another pile up. Spread out the love.
  14. Dont forget about that crazy oke on the BMX
  15. We planning on making it as close to the real thing as possible. So we will have people in the group doing the following: 1. Shout Hoopla at the start 2. Will get my Aunt to pull through in a yellow bib and tell us we are in the wrong start chute and then pretend to take a start card and check for a timing chip 3. Someone will forget Garmin/water bottle. 4. Someone's power meter will refuse to calibrate and the will panic in the chutes. 5. Someone will shout "hold your line" and then jump on their brakes in panic. 6. Someone will wave like a moron to his whole family almost taking out the whole bunch in Fish Hoek. 7. Someone will rock up on a MTB and remind you every 5 minutes that he is keeping up with roadies while never seeing the front of the group. 8. Someone will decide to set their front derailer the night before the ride and drop the chain and never be seen again. 9. Someone will ride off the front before Simons Town, only to get reeled in 1km later. 10. There will be mandatory over taking spots on the gravel up Smitswinkel. 11. We will throw waterbottles onto the ground while going down the nature reserve. 12. We will have 3 tandems start in Misty Cliffs which the whole group can sit behind. 13. We will fly down a Jozie boet to shout profanaties at the whole group while in between telling everyone that will chat to him how his S -Works Aethos is better than the SL-7. 14. We will have a lady throwing bar ones at you at Red Hill. 15. Once we arrive at chappies, we will have people serving up dead wheels left right and centre. 16. We will make sure there are at least 4 nervous okes going down mini chappies braking creating a massive gap. 17. Will organize that dude with the hose pipe on suikers to wash us down. 18. Will have a Virgin Active gym boet at the top of Suikers telling you to "spin it to win it" 19. Will have that one guy updating the whole group of the estimated time for the day and how far behind the sub 3 we are currently. 20. Will add some random hay bales on all the wrong corners. 21. Will open up the sprint for the line in Sea Point and get dropped before Green point. Anything we missed?
  16. Its just when it comes to cornering that its really noticeable, like Red Hill or Chappies Noordehoek side. At 110 at moment due to the angle of the stem and its not as stable as the 120mm I have found, also depends on the head angle of the bike as well.
  17. How does the stem feel? 80mm is pretty short and twitchy
  18. Will be decent after Simons Town, before that there are going to be robots etc so racing through there wont be ideal. No planned stops en route.
  19. Would do that but just too many robots along there. Will probably have some sort of vehicle following the group to carry spare wheels etc as well.
  20. I am 1.82 and rode a M/L TCR with a nice 120mm stem and it fit really well.
  21. We made it for this weekend Sunday. https://www.strava.com/clubs/21210/group_events/871720 We going to throw in some Rhodes drive instead of the Highway. Also, its my favourite road.
  22. Lets please remember that the M3 is still a highway in March even though there is a virtual cycle tour.
  23. 1/10th of the gear.
  24. Can't everest properly, can't give up cycling properly.
  25. Mine was painted on ...
