  1. fake news. note the phone number people
  2. Maybe IF Trump takes KFC away there will be enforcement
  3. ROund 2 is on a different course lay out and therefore will appeal to a slightly different skill set. More riders should be acclimatised too
  4. Not only stolen our thunder but it also impacts the Cape epic startline roster. Colombo, Schurter, Braidot, Avendetto, all recovered quite well to have excellent races. One could even say the heat here helped them acclimatise somewhat for Brasil yet we had quite shallow depth in the Epic field simply due to travel budgets
  5. There is another round in Araxa this coming weekend. Alan is racing a stage race this week
  6. to wrap up U23 Ladies Tyler Jacobs in 6th for Liv Factory racing U 23 Men Luca Ruwiel 21 st Privateer Ernest Roets 24th Privateer Elite Ladies: Candice Lill 5th Privateer Elite Mens Luke Moir 19th Privateer If they were all on SA based team.......imagine
  7. YEah she bust her spleen which has clearly had a long term effect on her. She does have a tendency to start fast, blow, take a lap or two to recover and then come back. Her timing sucked a little yesterday but I also suspect that the teams acclimation or lack thereof was a contributor as all the CFR riders underperformed. Good day for Science2Sport yesterday with Pogi taking Ronde van Vlaanderen and SFR sweeping the mens Warner Bros Disco podium
  8. Brilliant ride beat his would be team mate Thomas Litscher and many other big names
  9. Lap 6 he’s still in the main group hovering between 8th to 14th stunning ride 👏🏼👏🏼🎉
  10. No worries , if it is full carbon then it’s worth upgrading as parts wear out 👍🏼
  11. Oh sorry I misunderstood. The number Of XCO race laps is based on maximum allowed time and average pace of the riders during the have timed practice sessions in similar conditions. During the course practice the riders will try to do some fast laps to Inform their pacing. The commissaires will use those lap times to inform the number of laps from the start. They can adjust the numbeR of laps based on conditions but this is rare and usually invoked if it starts raining heavily or it gets too hot during the race. There is allowance in the races for this. The XCC race laps is decided based on lap1 time.
  12. Just keep that maintenance up 👍🏼
  13. The ladies are flying. So good to see The Frizmiz looking sooo soo good. I never realised how beautiful she is ….especially on a lefty
  14. Yes they look at the first lap time and target 80-90min race time. No more.same with the XCC
  15. The thing is you have to weigh up the cost of upgrades vs making this bike you have better and resaleable and get a better specced bike off the classifieds or from a store, new. A better fork is R12 000 upward Better wheels, R15000 New drivetrain even GX, R13000 YOu're already in for R30 000. Its a false economy to say you should have bought a R90k bike because that also needs to be maintained and parts replaced. YOu have to weigh up at what point have you spent enough on this bike and its time to get something better. Yes the frame is upgradable but I have a feeling that bike has an alloy rear triangle which is a bit weighty anyway I would just get it working better with a Deore SLX rear derailleur, maybe also the shifter, run out the cassette and fit a Sunrace unit. Gauge where you are in you mtb passion at that point and either sell it or upgrade it.
  16. in Jagwire, and BF Goodridge I trust Otherwise OEM
  17. I think that stuff is just silicone based garage door cable lube. Maybe not even that sophisticated. Just don't get any of it on the brake rotor. It does not come off easily
  18. just clean the battery interface with electrical circuit board cleaner (iso Propyl alcohol) and apply a smear of silicone grease to the interface and fit the red cover to the component side of the battery interface. The springs won't last forever but this will keep corrosion at bay and provide some barrier protection in fine grit ingress.
  19. you are going to spend a lot of money on Upgrades I can tell you that. Fork: The FoX Rhythym 32 is quite portly and flexy. Bushing wear and therefore stanchion wear is no uncommon under heavy riders. As Droo suggests, a Fox 34 or SiD Select+ 35 is where you want to be. Maybe even a RS Pike set to 120mm.. I would just sell the wheels, get what you can for them and purchase some good budget carbon hoops like the ZeroTwo Race on the ZeroTwo hubs. This will ht your wallet for about R16-R18K minus what you get for the OEM wheels. You could probably upgrade the Driver body of the Formula CL148S hub but I don't feel the cost is worth it. Its not a great hub to begin with so don't polish a turd. I would get rid of the NX rear derailleur as soon as I can and get a GX mechanical unit for now. The NX shifter is ok, does the job. You could even use a Shimano 12s Deore rear derailleur and it will work with the NX shifter and rear cassette. Long term you want to fit a AXS derailleur to eliminate one cable going through the headset (stupid stupid design). A good dropper is about R6000K. SO maybe just spring some extra cash and fit the Lyne E-Contour dropper which is a wireless electronic unit. Another cable eliminated. Why am I hung up removing cables on the Scott? The top bearing is very poorly shielded from the elements, it will last a few months and need replacing. Everytime the bearing needs replacing you will have to replace the gear cable and dropper cable and that dropper cable....if the housing moves too deep into the frame it gets stuck under the rear shock then that has to come out and suddenly your cable replacement includes shock removal and your service costs is Ka-ching ka-ching adding up. The bar ad stem is fine, nothing wrong with them. They're not much heavier than carbon bars and you're pretty limited for stem options anyway. Parts that will wear out fast: 1) Rear derailleur 2) brake pads 3) chain 4) Cassette 5) Rear hub bearings 6) fork so you may want to budget for replacement parts in that order more or less
  20. LOCTIRE 638 bearing retaining compound and a thread together BB like those mentioned above is the answer. The alternative is a carbon repair shop which is a more expensive options but will sort the problem for good.
  21. Hot soapy water, a stiff brush from pnp and elbow grease bru.
  22. ^^^ this 1 bar is sufficient
