Im a roadie and wanna "try" my hand on mtb. Choosing the ideal mtb has been difficult. My options are: Silverback Dakota with hydraulic disc brakes & Shimano Alivio Components, R4450(new) Schwinn Mesa LTD with hydraulic disc brakes & Shimano Deore components, R4500(new) Or.... Scott Scale 60X (2008 model) with V-brakes and Shimano Deore components, R3500(used) Any suggestion and comments would be appreciated. Ta!

Coming down Llandudno the same thing happened to me. This guy on a Prince Pinarello swore and shouted at me coz I tried to take my turn in front. This dude was just wheel sucking the whole. I screamed back at him along with the rest of the bunch who told him where he should get off.

Actually the dude that rebuilt the wheels pointed out to me that the nipples are different to other wheels. He had order new nipples with the spokes from AC. silverboy2008-03-12 04:15:40

My wheels are 5 years old and i weigh 59kg. I broke a spoke in the 2006 DC and then in Die Burger 2007. Apparently the original spokes it came with is balls up. American Classic has a new, improved spoke which stronger. I had my whole wheel rebuilt and haven't had anymore problems since. I still love these coz they are value for money and you won't find a lighter wheel around that price.

DSTV compact is waste of money really. They don't even give you Mnet

I couldn't find anything on 2 cyclists that were killed. The closest incident I found was the motorcycle accident where 2 people were killed. THe driver was a policeman.
