We are the importer for Cairbull helmets, each model is tested and certified based on EN 1078 (for EU market) and CPSC 1203 (for US market). We are in possession of the test report and certificates. These certificates are required for the helmets to be imported into those regions. We do however not have the same requirement in South Africa. The manufacturers design helmets mainly for EU and US markets so most helmets in the market will conform to the standards. Helmet manufacturing becomes more expensive due to tricky designs that would include more than one moulding process, higher rate of rejects etc. Safety very rarely plays a role (except with systems like MIPS which is expensive to licence - the actual system is extremely cheap).

I did not give any advice. I just stated what I have for sale. A 25.2mm will work perfectly if he can find a shim to upsize it to 26.4mm. I do have shims, just not the specific size.

It would be best to get a weight on the tandem. The brackets for the ceiling mount can carry over 40kg. It is only the rope that you will have to replace with a stronger one to be able to lift heavier items. Our current ceiling hanger stock has a better quality rope than previously but you will have to test if it can carry the tandem.

Tried an argument similar like this - one must look at what will it ordinarily be used for (and in our situation marketed and sold for which use). I would most likely try this if you import a 1 or 2 helmets, but not with a few hundred, chances of inspections are too high and related charges quickly pile up defeating the purpose.
