The Metro Cops just seem to have disappeared, CSA or the cops just simply not feeling like doing their job? A week ago I rode the Dischem Ride for Sight. It was not through the centre of JHB but all the intersections were controled by the Metro Cops and marshals.

I have a Tacx Fortius, I run the software on my Apple MacBook Pro using VMware Fusion. Runs ok, just sometimes it stops I then have to unplug the USB connection plug it back in and then continue with the ride. I use mostly the virtual reality videos. I have used it on a laptop running windows and works with no problems.

I have been to Cycles Direct a few times, I find some of their staff arrogant and acting like they have no time for you. Therefore I vote with my wallet and go to another shop in the area. I have heard similar comments from other bikers.

Is there anybody that has or is using the Easton EC 90 SLX fork? I am thinking of putting one on my Cervelo R3SL. I have read some reviews from the USA on this product most of them good. It is supposed to improve the ride, better steering and it is substantially lighter than the fork the bike comes with.

I have had really bad service from their workshop in Cape Town. I bought my bike there and so took it back on several occasions to get things fixed that were part of the guarantee. The diagnosis is non existent, their ability to adjust gears worse than useless. Every time the bike has been there it has been back at least 3 times to get what they miss adjusted fixed. The last two times I have taken it to another bike shop after Cycle Lab managed to stuff it up to repair what they got wrong. I would not go back, it is that there are items under guarantee that I insist they replace. Their sales and after sales service is good, the workshop I would never use.

So far I have had great service from Cycle Lab, Northgate Island. On a few occasions they have fetched my bike from work and delivered it back, same day.

Have been using Specialised for 2 years. My wife bought me the Sidi Ergo 2 for Christmas, what a difference. The Sidi is the best shoe by far. I still use the Specialised but only for short training rides. For longer rides and racing the Sidi. The price is a bit steep at R 4 600.
