  1. Strava mobile gave me 679m of climbing and 67,5kms
  2. I know, I know!!
  3. So what do you recon I could sell these for in order to get the Rouxtjie 500?
  4. Forgot to mention that I also spin on a regular basis and need all my data in one place.
  5. How could we forgotten him!!
  6. I have to many toys and need to make a decision as to which to keep and which to sell. Bryton 35 Garmin Forerunner 305 Polar RS800CX While each of these devices are good they all have pro's and con's and I need to decide which to keep and which to sell. Has anyone any feedback for me on adding a GPS pod to the Polar as I have no experience with this and ideally I want only one device. I back up all my data to a Mac.
  7. RudoJ, I get what you are saying. However I believe any athlete worth their salt would welcome the acknowledgement and recognition from their own country and people. From hosting an amazing World Champs in Maritzburg whether you were there or glued to the TV, this is piss poor that Greg and Daryl receive squat.
  8. HI Tim, Do you have directions as how to get to Hakahana as the directions on the Advendurance site are very vague. I will be coming from the Pretoria East direction. Many thanks.
  9. I am very interested. Do you ride in the mornings or PM and at what time? Will most probably be able to make 2 to 3 times a week.
  10. I drive a Honda CRV so very similar to the Tiguan and I use a platform Thule rack. Ground clearance no problem and very secure.
  11. Ditto Double ditto
  12. Started in C batch and did a fantastic 27.8km. Very mif but what can one do. Might be back !!!
  13. Daily dose of Berocca Booster, ViralChoice and Omega 3 does the trick. Don't forget that a recovery drink after a training session also gets the body resistance back quicker.
  14. In and for the Adventure for the first time.
  15. Joined but only do twitter
  16. Did you come right?
  17. Just have to thank all the guys at Lynnwood Cyclery for the most outstanding service that I have ever received from an LBS. Udo, John, Andre and Andrew truly understand the value of a customer for life. Bought my first Specialized Camber Comp 29 from them and I will never look back. Vinny the Butcher, second best advise you ever gave me!!!
  18. Amazing. Only ride with GEAX Suagaro and Roval rims. Heavier but bullet proof
  19. Best advise I got from Vinny the Butcher was the following; 1. Lie the tyres in the sun inside out for about 2 days until all the kinks are out. 2. One long tyre lever 3. Plenty soapy water on the rims and bead of tyres 4. Elbow grease 5. Pump up at garage. MUST hear 2 pops per tyre. 6. Leave on rims for a solid day. 7. Get a syringe to insert the Stan,s solution via the valve. 8. Redo process, insert Stan's solution and pump tyres with a bomb (yes it works) or at the garage. You will battle all day unless you follow the above. I know!!!!!
  20. I am in Moreleta Park and can do Thursday. Not sure on how to get to Boschkop, directions from anyone would be great.
  21. S.I.R Maxxis Many thanks for the direction. Rims in excellent condition, cranks in decent condition, used for about a year before the carbon framed seat post cracked. Shock, done about 1,000 kms I will see if my LBS can give me an indication of the shock Cheers
  22. I have just taken ownership of the following second hand parts to upgrade my current MTB. 1 x Rock Shox Recon Race with lockout front shock 1 x set of Mavic Cross Ride 559 x 19c rims 1 x Simano SLX crankset derailers Can hubbers please assist me with market related prices so that I can make a fair offer to the seller. We both have no idea?
  23. I will take 2
  24. No wonder it takes you so long to get the class going with you "tinkering" with the spinning bike!!
