  1. Here is another question - Any one used the Bryton 35 which I believe has unbelievable battery life, 30 hours plus!!
  2. Please let me know the name of this DVD as I MUST get it. Must be a classic with Bob Geldoff swaying on the side.
  3. If money is not the issue but getting the correct tool is, then which unit do you believe is worth the money and features if you were going to do Sani2C next year.
  4. Yes we are in!!
  5. Nope, but I see that I have moved from A65?? to A164. So might be included in a 3rd event!!!!!!
  6. This is obviously not the first time you are doing this event
  7. Or is it just a sign of the worldwide economy where corporates just don't have the luxury of supporting and sponsoring teams during this period.
  8. I actually saw the sign for the first time last Sunday. If you are coming along Villa de Bois (Moreleta Park PTA) towards the Farm Staal, cross over Atterbury and go all the way into the dip, around and straight through the traffic circle and at the next right turn only stop street, turn left on the tar until you hit dirt. It is about 1 to 2 kms up the road on your right. Had a look from outside but you cannot really see anything. I saw a sign board at the previously mentioned stop street which caught my eye. Be very interested to find out more. Sorry this refers to Hedianga Farm
  9. That would make things very interesting if it happened before the Nissan race on the 23rd July!!
  10. ridemag@ride.co.za
  11. Well I did not but they are on the shelf in various book stores. Sent an email to Ride but 3 days later still no reply and there site is down. Seriously PO
  12. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=noob A noob or n00b is someone that lacks intellegance or common sense, most people think that noob is a word used only in the online gaming world, but in reality it is becoming an ever popular word with teenage society. A noob could be simply a level 100 running round shouting ''WTF DO I GO!?'' or someone calling someone else a noob and then getting hit with a brick, anyone can call anyone a noob, but normally they are noobs themselves
  13. Time will tell if the 29er "revolution" will suceed, so for now and possibly the far future, I will stick to my 26er. I doubt if a 29er will get a podium ever in my life time!!!
  14. I agree with what you have said as I also ride hard when I am without the family and with mates. However when the rider rode through the middle of us, we were changing from the left hand side to the right hand side as you go down the steep almost tarred section into the river crossing as there were about 10 4 x 4's waiting their turn to go through the mud (Jeep actually got stuck up to the floor boards in the mud). So the speedster was not even really looking ahead as he nearly went into the back of a vehicle. It is just a principle of how we do or not treat other people.
  15. I have been racing for the last 2 years so I do understand the etiquette and "snorting" factor but when you are riding down the sand roads and the next minute a rider comes through the middle without any warning I want to bliksem him. Oh and a thank you for giving track or getting out thee way would also be appreciated.
  16. Over the last 5 months my family has decided to join Dad in his mountain bike endeavours and we now cycle every Sunday at Groenkloof. As the family are learning the ropes from Dad,we are not the fastest group on the trail, but what really annoys me is that seasoned MTB'ers just don't extend the same etiquette as they would when we race. Instead of sneaking up from behind and snorting to get past, just "track", "passing left, right, centre" would be greatly appreciated, instead of frightening the hell out of my family.
  17. That's why some order foam and others cream with their cappucino's. Life is all about choices and that God we do!!
  18. [The GIANTS in the top 5 at the Epic were Burry and Sauser. I have the Anthem x 2 2008 model and I would not swop it for 2 x Merida's.
  19. Many thanks to all for the info. Gone on line at it will offer all to the family.
  20. Going to be in Chakas Rock for 10 days. Can anyone let me know about MTB routes that side of the world. Many thanks
  21. I understand but the point is it can be done and Hartford and 94.7 have proved this time and again. Surley CSA could have used an experienced company like Hartford to host the event. I think that the ego'c ate to big and CSA wanted all the kudos
  22. What puzzles me is that a Radioa Station can work with the authorities to organise a 20,000 cyclist race throughout JHB, Randburg, 4ways etc for the whole day, CSA cannot organise a 150 cyclist race that would have a huge positive outcome if successful. Watching Tili on Suprtcycling on Teusday, I thought to myself, this guy cannot be in charge of cycling in SA as he does not even look the part. The Stev Tshwete of cysling.
  23. R580 which included VAT and Duties
  24. Does anyone have a diagram or instructions on how to fix the mount onto the handlebars. There is a "spare" grey strap and 4 cable ties, Nothing makes sense and no instructions in mannual.
  25. Being playing around with the 800 and it is jam packed with features. Brilliant buy even if I say so myself!!!
