  4. Hey guys After falling at Magalies Adventure and tearing my AC Joint and everything attached I underwent a Clavicle hook plate operation. Basically I'm out for 6 months as it requires 2 operations and plenty arm time in a sling. Unfortunately I'm for most part unemployed and the rest a freelance event manager therefore my finances have become non existent and these medical bills aren't going away neither is the case of me needing to pay for physio as my hospital plan doesn't cover it. Due to my arm in the sling I'm getting very little work as my freelancing is a hands on position. So I'm appealing to anyone that can help to buy my last 65 Bath Alarms in order for me to raise some Capital to get better. Ive already been forced to sell some of my cycling gear which we all know isn't a nice feeling. I'm not asking for freebies or handouts hence me selling you a bath alarm. Old hubber's will remember where back in the day we contributed to people hospital bills etc. Bernard Kaap comes to mind where I even went out my way and rode my Tricycle raising money for his hospital bills. I donated to other hubber's in the past as well. All I'm hoping for is what goes around finally comes back around as I'm really at the end of my bank balance. So R100 for 1 or R150 for 2 and Ill include overnight postage. Additional Units can be bought at R50 each. Batteries are also included. I have been using one for the past 4yrs only replacing batteries once so far. PS these make great gifts... PPS please pm me rather than email Thanks Ricky Another thought is using them to fill your pool and not forget about leaving the tap on....

  8. I got a pair of answer shoes like this, not to warm but nice, only thing is they feel so heavy but I love using them at night or early morning rides
  9. I did the 35km and the results werent right. People cheated esp in the top 10. My mate and I were counting places as we were in the front and should of finished around 7 & 8th but official was 13 and 14 but on the day was 12 and 13. Also before crossing the line we saw a lighty who started with us but got left behind along time ago fixing his chain so I think people were taking shortcuts somewhere. I saw the Ipod user he was arrogant when the offical told him to get rid of it. He thought he was clever by saying no its for a phone said hello and continued talking to his mate so thumbs up to the offical.
  10. I did the Jock Hillclimb on my 45kg plus Tricycle and even recorded it. Do it twice on a normal bike. I remember beating a guy who was cycling then running then cycling then running lol....

  18. Absolute Rubbish, I built up what we thought was the 1st Cannondale Road Tandem with Hydraulic Discs back in 2003 I think it was. We are still running Avid Juicy 5s with 203mm Rotors and can almost Endo the the bike. Sure they get hot but we have never had brakefade even when doing the Argus or any other race with serious downhills. We have had the usual of sticky pistons due to dirt build up but a quick clean and everything sorted. The tip is the 203mm rotor else you will be looking for trouble. Oh and if you can afford heavy duty brakes like Avid Codes or Hope M4s even better I say...
