  1. Laser etched onto the anodising I believe.
  2. I have done this many times before and the bottom line is it's a difficult and labour intensive task. I don't know anything about the hydro-blast method but would be worth looking into. We used to use a soft steel brush to gently remove paint around the welds as well as scotch pad. If you want to anodise then you will need to have absolutely every last flake of paint removed. One of the most effective methods is to burn the paint off at high heat, but then you need the ability to heat treat the frame again.
  3. If I may add another question to this expanding thread, how does one go about getting a replacement quote on a rare bike that doesn't have dealers in the country?
  4. We used to take a band saw to all our scrap frames to prevent any being salvaged from the scrapyard.
  5. In Paarl and keen to help.
  6. I'm looking for a 26" fork. Straight steerer, quick release. Anything from 100mm - 120mm will work. Don't need anything fancy, as it's for my wife's bike that is seldom ridden. Willing to pay. Cheers.
  7. First MTB ride in about 3 years. Glorious!
