  1. I received this awesome custom made tamper for my Barista Express today. Design and machining was done by @Mountain Bru and I believe he has a 51mm of the same design that he may be looking to sell.
  2. When we first moved here, I was SHOCKED that when I ran around the traffic circle on the Boulevard, I crossed 16 lanes of traffic and not a single vehicle tried to kill me.
  3. I've just taken a leisurely drive through from Paarl to Belville, and the only **** I encountered on the whole drive was in a white rAnger.... With a lekker Santa Cruz strapped to the back... My experiences of running/riding in Paarl have been stellar in comparison to the nightmare of of exercising near a public road back in Natal.
  4. A lovely chilled morning loop before work.
  5. Not at all. We only go there for the drama....
  6. I won't be watching Rampage again. It is truly incredible what those athletes are able to do, but watching that crash was sickening. Despite how much the riders groom their lines compared to past lines, the sheer scale of the obstacles is insane. Added to that, the scoring just didn't seem to accurately reflect the riders runs. Perhaps I'm not technically minded enough to understand the judge's logic, but I felt there were riders that deserves to score much higher than they did.
  7. If you're going to post content like this, at least mark it NSFW????
  8. I wondered why I couldn't get my time down...
  9. The kwela used a hanger that was commonly available at the time, I forget which other brands used them though. I'm sure your lbs could help if you take yours in as a sample.
  10. In this day and age there is simply no excuse for poor communication, most especially in a business environment.
  11. I take that as high praise indeed!
  12. Chasing a KOM. (Failed, but still had fun)
  13. Definitely a better solution than a dodgey repair! Take it or leave it, but perhaps hold off on using it for enduro riding this time!
  14. I'm really sorry about your broken rear triangle. I think it's highly unlikely you can get that repaired with much success. If it does get repaired, it will need to be gusseted at the points of failure and the rest of it will need to be inspected, as there are likely other points that have suffered fatigue. IT WILL HAVE TO BE HEAT TREATED AFTER WELDING. The other problem with repairing a swingarm, is that during the softened stage of heat treating, it will have to be straightened so that everything aligns properly. Without the manufacturer's jigs, this becomes a very difficult job. Swingarms are more difficult to get straight than a front triangle. I think you are better off sourcing another swingarm or frame.
  15. It's to get the belt on and off. Quick links aren't available for belts just yet...
  16. A quick morning spin.
  17. I don't use it as much as used to, but my Moka pot is dearly loved. Whenever I'm gifted coffee that isn't fresh enough for the Barista Express, this beauty makes a superb drink from it. It's also my travel companion on every trip.
  18. That RST looks properly over engineered, but sounds like a nice piece of kit (apart from the weight)
  19. Thank you for sharing that. I checked again carefully though and mine definitely does have play forwards and backwards. There is a marked difference between the amount of play when it was new to what I'm experiencing now. I was mostly surprised by how little use it has taken for this change to happen, as well as the suddenness of the difference.
  20. Thanks for the feedback everyone.
  21. That's super frustrating. The rotational play I can live with, but I find the back and forth movement irritating. Feels like there's a suspension linkage that's loose (I checked, there isn't)
  22. I did message this morning, haven't heard back yet. Was just curious to hear from other Hubbers as well.
  23. I've had my dropper about 2 1/2 months, done less than 200km. Was riding last week and noticed play in the dropper while riding. Checked afterwards and there's noticably more play than before and it is not just rotational, but also front to back. I wouldn't say there's a huge amount, but it went from being imperceptible to being annoyingly noticable. I haven't ridden in adverse conditions and I clean the seals with a soft tip toothbrush after each ride as well as wipe the post with a microfibre cloth. Is this normal or should i be looking at servicing it already?
  24. I'm not sure! When I looked at the specs page for my bike, the hubs were listed as 340's, but I could find little else that corroborated that. I will treat them as 350's and report back if I have any trouble. Thanks for the help.
  25. Thanks for the information and the links provided. Does the 340 use the same parts as the 350? I have struggled to find information about the 350 straight pull hubs online.
