  4. So always been keen to try and ride track. Took the plunge and bought a bike. Now looking for useful tips from you gifted hubbers, done lots of riding now just to hit the track, so to speak. All advice would be appreciated. Thanks

  10. I race with zipp 808's, race weight 88kgs at 189cm. The finish at the Amashova last yr, down from Tollgate Bridge was hectic, otherwise love them and race with them most of the time. Thought about selling them, but then when u race them.... BIG SMILE!

  13. Morning All Was looking at dates for next years race.... and then, I see race cost has increased from R3200 to R3750. Some 17% increase - wow! Who of us has received a 17% increase this year / decade? Leaves one pondering!

  15. This am was pure bliss.... Dbn was stunning. A little frantic up to the Sharks Board and the HR was thru the roof. The group rode responsibly..... just our driver needs to ensure his car starts next time he is driving back-up. At this time of the year we may need to pass the hat around so he gets a service.... This is the way to start your day! Bring on tomorrrow!
  16. Hi all Just buying a 29er and only ridden the bike once. What is the verdict = with the wider bars, do you all still use bar ends for climbing or with the width, do you opt not to? Thanks
  17. I have had my share of dealings with Fred and Cyclesure - been in Jhb 3 years, and have had 2 R3SL Cervelo's smashed by cars. 2 write-offs replaced so I have a big account to "pay-off". Good service and very happy to pay my premium. Coming from an insurance backround, I must add that for insurance to work for you, one needs to be very aware of ones policy and ones own responsibilities. It is normaly when one is not aware that we pass judgement against the insurer. Make sure you read and understand your policy. For example - When you stop for coffee after a ride - if stolen while you in the shop, will it be covered? If not locked - almost certainly not. As for Cyclesure - big thumbs up!
  18. Hi Hubbers What brands are recommended ito recovery compression garments - "leggings" etc. Looking to acquire. Thanks
  19. Hubbers Solution - International Power Products in Ctn - repair battery R285 cost, 1 day turnaround time. Hassle free!! Big thumbs up.
  20. Hubbers - hope u can help. Purchased X3 blackburn light in 2007 - great light, but sadly battery does not hold charge for very long anymore. Are there options to use another battery pack? Possibly smaller one too? I have spoken to agents (Omnico)and await their feedback. Please see pic Any help would be appreciated - light is in perfect working condition and so would be sad to see it "lost". Thanks
  21. Question - why do hubbers advertise something for sale and then just disappear off the face of the earth? Should this not warrant a "negative" rating on the marketplace scoring? One thing is for sure, it is very irritating. What you say?
